Northgate School Board VP dies

Longtime Northgate School Board member Charles Miklos died last weekend.

Miklos, 81, of Bellevue, died Sunday, July 4, 2010 while with family on vacation.

Vacations were never something that stopped Miklos from participating in Northgate School Board business during his 26-year tenure. For many years he made sure to call in from his vacation home in Conneaut so he could be a part of meetings.

Stanley Cup in Bellevue

Among the visits around the world made by the Stanley Cup trophy was a stop in Bellevue last Monday, courtesy of Penguins’ communications VP and Bellevue native Tom McMillan. Before a surprise appearance at Assumption School arranged by teacher Rich Bell, McMillan and the cup stopped to visit old friend Luigi Della-Ragione and have lunch at Luigi’s on Lincoln Avenue.
