There will be free food and beverages, along with activities for adults and children to learn about fire-fighting and prevention.

The event will be held at the borough’s park on Huntingdon Road

Emsworth Fire Company plans Community Day

The Emsworth Volunteer Fire Company willsponsor its third annual Community Day on Sun-day, May 22, from noon to 5 p.m.

There will be free food and beverages as firefighters showcase different activities in which people of the community can participate in order to introduce them to the work done by the volunteer firefighters. There will be activities for adults and children, including "hands-on" use of fire hose, extinguishers, vehicle rescue equipment and the protective equipment that firefighters wear when entering burning buildings.

Emsworth VFC Community Day

The Emsworth Volunteer Fire Company will hold its second annual Community Day on Saturday, June 19, rain or shine at the Lance Corporal Patrick Kenny Field.

"Come see what it's like to be a firefighter" is the theme of the event, which will be held from noon to 5 p.m. It will include many local fire trucks, fire extinguisher training, the "Jaws of Life," a simulated smoke-filled house, free hotdogs, hamburgers, and soft drinks, and activities for children and adults.
