The Northgate Flames' defense stood strong Friday night as they defiantly fell, 20 - 6, to a beatable North Catholic team. The Flames' offense sparked but could not catch fire, and the defense was eventually worn down by the Trojans.
The Flames received the opening kick-off, and immediately went to their run game. Northgate showed signs of getting into a rhythm as Jon Girvin, Rob Vickers and Mackenzie Quinn all got carries, and picked up a quick first down before being stopped and forced to punt.
