Helen Crooks Helen Reitz Crooks, 79, wife of the late William H. Crooks Sr., died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011. Mrs. Crooks enjoyed cooking and making cookies. She was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling, bingo, trivia games and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Todoverto; four children, Kenneth Todoverto Jr. and his wife Sandy, Janice Barry and her husband Mike, Carla Pritchard and her husband Glenn and Donna Boyer; his sister, Louise Killian; and five grandchildren, Brian Verlihay and his wife Steph, Steven Verlihay, Glenn Pritchard Jr., Becky Pritchard and Ally Boyer.

Dorothy Malloy Dorothy R. Gastner Malloy, 91, of Emsworth, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011. She is survived by her husband, J. Regis Malloy; and three children, Bonnie Bass and her husband James, Diane Barr and her husband James and Ronald Malloy. Services and burial were private. Arrangements were made by the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home.

James R. Davis James R. Davis, 68, of McCandless, husband of the late Carol S. Davis, died Nov. 4, 2011. Mr. Davis had been the owner of Jim Davis Auto Body in Emsworth. He leaves a son, James S. Davis and his fiancé Sharon Welfer; a sister, Linda (John) Provich; a niece, Melissa (Mike) Taylor; nephews, Joseph Weiss Jr. and James (Jamie) Weiss. Friends were received Tuesday at Simons Funeral Home and a service was held Wednesday in St. John's Lutheran Church of Highland. Elizabeth McFarlane Elizabeth A. "Betty" McFarlane, 84, of Bellevue, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011. Mrs. McFarlane was a school crossing guard in Bellevue for many years. She is survived by her husband, Richard J. McFarlane; three children, Richard J. McFarlane Jr. and his wife Chris, Patricia Brelloch and her husband Rick and Kathy Weifenbach and her husband Lee; three granddaughters, Kelly Harshman and her husband James, Colleen McFarlane and Megan Brelloch; and two great-grandsons, Elija and Isaiah Harshman.

Dominic Angeloini Dominic A. Angeloini, 80, of the North Side, husband of the late Catherine M. Angeloini, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011. He is survived by three daughters, Angie and her husband Todd, Patty and her husband Brian and Toni and her husband Jack; his sister, Philomena; six grandchildren, Christina, Brandon, Nicole, Ashley, Zackery and Miranda; two great-grandchildren, Anthony and J.T.; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and his dog, Ginger. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Angeloini; and two siblings, Art Angeloini and Betty McBurney.

William Kisling Sr. William R. Kisling Sr., 78, of Bellevue, died Wednesday, June 29 2011. Mr. Kisling was a longtime member of Northgate Church. He was an avid sportsman and outsdoorsman. He is survived by his wife, Nancy M. Kisling; four sons, John R. Kisling and his wife Jean, Thomas W. Kisling and his wife Toni, William R. Kisling Jr. and Ty Kisling; two sisters, Irene Roof and her husband Jack and Virginia Klimko and her husband Edward; and five grandchildren, Kelly, Brian, Zachary, Justin and Tyler Kisling.

Rosemarie Schuchman Rosemarie Rebel Schuchman, 85, of Avalon, formerly of Ohio Township, died Friday, May 27, 2011. She is survived by two sons, Paul Schuchman and his wife Arlene and John Schuchman and his wife Barbara; two siblings, Sr. Myron and Carol Beck; two grandchildren, Paul Ross and Sarah Ross Schuchman; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Betty Scarbough, William, John and Edward Rebel. Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Mary Church in Glenfield.

Joan Bechtel Joan Marie Bechtel, 75, of Clarks Summit, PA, formerly of Bellevue, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in Hospice Community Care, Dunmore, PA. Ms. Bechtel was a Bellevue High School graduate. She was a retired executive secretary of Harbison-Walker in Pittsburgh. She was an active volunteer at Meals On Wheels and at Allegheny General Hospital. She was an avid traveler.

Irene Hawk Irene B. Hawk, 96, of Ben Avon, wife of the late Dr. Brainard Hawk, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011. She is survived by four children, Dr. Alan Hawk and his wife Sandra, Dr. David Hawk and his wife Brenda, Linda Kluge and her husband Roger and Susan Coy; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey, Noah, Lisa, Ellen, Leah, David Jr. and Jessica; and three great-grandchildren, Kelly, Madeline and Paul. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Hawk.

She is survived by two daughters, Jody Antonelli and her husband Raymond H. Jr. of Hopewell Township and Judy Keith and her husband Perry of Portersville, PA; four grandchildren, Raymond R., Sarah, Zachary and Brooke Ann; two great-grandsons, Gavin and Wesley; and her niece, Suzie Mura. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Irene Louise Brown and Eugene "Butch" Brown.

Raymond Seekford Raymond Seekford, 69, of Emsworth, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011. Mr. Seekford was retired and a member of Iron Workers Local #3 for 43 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Korea.

Eleanor Capps Eleanor Virginia Capps, 95, of Greensboro, NC, formerly of Avalon and North Hills and wife of the late Harry Russell Capps, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011. Mrs. Capps was an Oliver High School graduate and an accomplished pianist who entertained many social groups and organizations in the Pittsburgh area.

Ann Deckenbach Ann L. Erdner Deckenbach, 93, of Oakmont, formerly of Avalon and wife of the late Charles Deckenbach, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011. She is survived by her daughter, Paula "P.J." Bombara; three sisters, Margaret Diroll, Sophia Pike and Dorothy Delp; and her granddaughter, Alecia M. Bombara. She was preceded in death by six siblings, Edith Munk, Mary Backe, Paul, Joseph, John and Edward Erdner. Friends were received at Burket-Truby Funeral Home, Oakmont, where services were held.

Catherine E. Desso Catherine E. (Cass) Desso, 91 of Leeper, PA, formerly of Bellevue died January 26, 2011. She was preceded in death by Paul, her husband of 52 years. She retired from Suburban General Hospital after 18 years as a pediatric supervisor. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years and a charter member of the Christian Mothers Guild at Assumption Church.

Pauline Klasterka Pauline R. Yankovic Klasterka, 88, of Ross Township, wife of the late Frank E. Klasterka, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011. She is survived by two children, Joane Lapsley and her husband David and Frank L. Klasterka and his wife Lisa; her sister, Anna Marie Zacharias; three grandchildren, Bill Lapsley, Frank and Katelyn Klasterka; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosemary Miller and Eleanor Hirsch.

William Chapman William H. Chapman, 83, of Franklin Park, formerly of Ross Township and Bellevue, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010. Mr. Chapman served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS LST 1059 as Seaman 1st Class in the Pacific Theatre and then in the U.S. Naval Reserves. He was a graduate of Robert Morris College with a degree in business. He completed his graduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh. He was a member of McKinley-Stuckrath Masonic Lodge #318 for 56 years and a member of West View VFW. He was a sports enthusiast, an avid supporter of animal conservation and an outdoorsman.

Helen Rooney Helen V. "Vonnie" Rooney, 95, of Elmira, NY, formerly of Pittsburgh and wife of the late Paul Rooney, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010. Mrs. Rooney had been a longtime member of Annunciation Church and past president of its Christian Mothers Association. She enjoyed bowling and her card clubs. She was an accomplished seamstress and cook.

Verna Gray Verna R. Gray, 94, of Avalon, wife of the late Lester F. Gray, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010. She is survived by two sons, Albert J. Gray and his wife Joann of Ohio Township and David R. Gray of Melbourne, FL; two siblings, Helen Guiser and Bill Euston; her grandson, Matthew D. Gray; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Meals.

Louise Griffith Louise Rose Conte Griffith, 83, of Newton, MA, formerly of Monongahela and wife of the late Blair A. Griffith, died Friday, Sept. 24, 2010. Mrs. Griffith was a 1945 graduate of Monongahela High School and a 1949 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in journalism. She worked at West Penn Power in the public relations department, then taught for 20 years in the Franklin Regional School District. She enjoyed politics, sports, reading and crossword puzzles.
