Khiry Watts Khiry Templin Watts, 21, of Ohio Township, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012. Mr. Watts was a graduate of Avonworth High School, and played football and track. He is survived by his parents, Eric V. and Diane Templin; four siblings, Colt, Grant, Brooke, and Amy Templin; biological siblings; and aunts and uncles.

Helen Crooks Helen Reitz Crooks, 79, wife of the late William H. Crooks Sr., died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011. Mrs. Crooks enjoyed cooking and making cookies. She was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling, bingo, trivia games and traveling.

Kenneth Todoverto Sr. Kenneth M. Todoverto Sr., 81, of Bellevue died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Loretta Todoverto; four children, Kenneth Todoverto Jr. and his wife Sandy, Janice Barry and her husband Mike, Carla Pritchard and her husband Glenn and Donna Boyer; his sister, Louise Killian; and five grandchildren, Brian Verlihay and his wife Steph, Steven Verlihay, Glenn Pritchard Jr., Becky Pritchard and Ally Boyer.

Sophia Regas Sophia Fakles Regas, 89, wife of the late John Fakles and John Regas, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011. Mrs. Regas was the owner of the River Road Inn in Avalon for 39 years. She is survived by two daughters, Theodora Fakles and Pandora Bossick and her husband Dennis; her sister-in-law, Shea Banus; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Panagula Danus; and two siblings, Demetrios Danus and Maria Giannakos.

Dorothy Malloy Dorothy R. Gastner Malloy, 91, of Emsworth, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011. She is survived by her husband, J. Regis Malloy; and three children, Bonnie Bass and her husband James, Diane Barr and her husband James and Ronald Malloy. Services and burial were private. Arrangements were made by the Orion C. Paul DeWalt Paul C. DeWalt, 61, of Avalon, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Klixbull DeWalt; three children, Zachary, Sarah and Jacob DeWalt; his mother, Inis DeWalt; his sister, Beth DeWalt; three brothers-in-law, Thomas L. Klixbull and his wife Janet, Richart J. Klixbull and his wife Susan and Robert E. Klixbull and his wife Eileen; a sister-in-law, Linda S. Sanderson and her husband Sandy; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis DeWalt; and two brothers, John and Robert DeWalt.

Anna Marie Ayres Anna Marie Staudenmaier Ayres, wife of the late George W. Staudenmaier, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011. She is survived by four children, George W. Ayres Jr. and his wife Ruth, Mary Ann Turkovich, Margaret "Peggy" Ayres and Rose Marie Ayres; and her grandson, William Turkovich and his wife Stephanie. She was preceded in death by six brothers; and her son-in-law, John Turkovich.

Edward Moore Edward McClelland Moore, 94, of Bellevue, husband of the late Dawn (Mary Ellen) Moore, died Thursday, July 14, 2011. He is survived by six children, Joseph Moore and his wife Joanne, Charlene Amend and her husband Dennis, Daniel Moore, Thomas Moore and his wife June, Patricia Hallam and her husband Patrick and Mary Ellen McDonough and her husband Daniel; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren; his daughter-in-lae Elvira Moore. He was preceded in death by his son, Lawrence E. Moore.

Dominic Angeloini Dominic A. Angeloini, 80, of the North Side, husband of the late Catherine M. Angeloini, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011. He is survived by three daughters, Angie and her husband Todd, Patty and her husband Brian and Toni and her husband Jack; his sister, Philomena; six grandchildren, Christina, Brandon, Nicole, Ashley, Zackery and Miranda; two great-grandchildren, Anthony and J.T.; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and his dog, Ginger. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Angeloini; and two siblings, Art Angeloini and Betty McBurney.

McGurgan; She leaves four children, Joanne Edwards, Kathleen McGurgan, James McGurgan and Daniel McGurgan; a sister Dorothy Diehl; and grandchildren, Martin, Matthew, Angelee, Laura, Shaun, Justin, Megan and Lynn. William Kisling Sr. William R. Kisling Sr., 78, of Bellevue, died Wednesday, June 29 2011. Mr. Kisling was a longtime member of Northgate Church. He was an avid sportsman and outsdoorsman. He is survived by his wife, Nancy M. Kisling; four sons, John R. Kisling and his wife Jean, Thomas W. Kisling and his wife Toni, William R. Kisling Jr. and Ty Kisling; two sisters, Irene Roof and her husband Jack and Virginia Klimko and her husband Edward; and five grandchildren, Kelly, Brian, Zachary, Justin and Tyler Kisling.

In the Avonworth School Board race, voters will need to choose five candidates on each ticket from among those who are cross-filed, not cross-filed and a couple write-in candidates to boot.

There are five four-year seats and one two-year seat that will be filled in the Northgate School Board elections this year. Primary votes for cross-filed candidates could wrap this up next week, or the vrace could wait until November for a final decision.

The candidates are:

Tim Makatura Dr. Makatura, from Bellevue, was appointed to the board last August to fill a vacancy. A psychologist who works as a clinician and a college instructor, he holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology, a master's degree in guidance and counseling, and a Ph.D in psychology.

Irene Hawk Irene B. Hawk, 96, of Ben Avon, wife of the late Dr. Brainard Hawk, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011. She is survived by four children, Dr. Alan Hawk and his wife Sandra, Dr. David Hawk and his wife Brenda, Linda Kluge and her husband Roger and Susan Coy; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey, Noah, Lisa, Ellen, Leah, David Jr. and Jessica; and three great-grandchildren, Kelly, Madeline and Paul. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Hawk.

She is survived by two daughters, Melissa Slepski and her husband Thomas Streiff and Shannon Slepski; two brothers, Charles D. Woods and his wife Marylyn and Ronald J. Woods; her granddaughter, Jaedyn Slepski; her former husband, Glenn Slepski; and nieces and nephews. Friend were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, where services were held on Sunday. He is survived by his wife, Claudia Hahn; two daughters, Lori Frocek and her husband John of Wilmington, DE and Kristin Bennett and her husband Brian of Emsworth; his mother, Marion Hahn of Ohio Township; two siblings, Robert and his wife Cheryl of Evans City and Gloria of Ohio Township; three grandchildren, Zane, Luke and Anna; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward W. Hahn; and his brother, Edward C. Hahn.

Raymond Seekford Raymond Seekford, 69, of Emsworth, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011. Mr. Seekford was retired and a member of Iron Workers Local #3 for 43 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Korea.

Betty Jane Titler Betty Jane Sharpnack Stevenson Titler, 86, of Avalon, formerly of Brownsville and Youngstown and wife of the late Eugene Stevenson and Guy Titler, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010. Mrs. Titler was a registered nurse, taking care of veterans of World War II. She then worked in Ohio and at Bellevue Suburban General Hospital in the neonatal unit. She enjoyed reading, playing the slot machines and watching soap operas.

She is survived by four children, Barbara Hyde, Joanne Hyde, Andrew Golden and his wife Kathleen and Maureen Golden; four grandchildren, Jeff, Sherry, Jay and Afton; and five great-grandchildren. William Chapman William H. Chapman, 83, of Franklin Park, formerly of Ross Township and Bellevue, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010. Mr. Chapman served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS LST 1059 as Seaman 1st Class in the Pacific Theatre and then in the U.S. Naval Reserves. He was a graduate of Robert Morris College with a degree in business. He completed his graduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh. He was a member of McKinley-Stuckrath Masonic Lodge #318 for 56 years and a member of West View VFW. He was a sports enthusiast, an avid supporter of animal conservation and an outdoorsman.

Helen Rooney Helen V. "Vonnie" Rooney, 95, of Elmira, NY, formerly of Pittsburgh and wife of the late Paul Rooney, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010. Mrs. Rooney had been a longtime member of Annunciation Church and past president of its Christian Mothers Association. She enjoyed bowling and her card clubs. She was an accomplished seamstress and cook.
