Avon Park will soon be getting a facelift. At its meeting on Tuesday, Ben Avon Council unanimously approved McElroy Paving Co. to pave the asphalt walkways in the park.

Council approved the bid of $12,205 by McElroy for that work, which will be paid with grant funds.

Borough engineer Ed McGee also told Council that $10,000 is available to purchase furniture and benches for the park. He will be putting that out for bid by the end of the month.

Mayor Bob Jones and council member Rob Galbreath were absent from the meeting.
