Janet Young Janet Grace Allaman Young, 78, of Ross Township, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012. Mrs. Young enjoyed crafting, sewing, gardening and traveling to all but five of the United States. She also traveled to five continents and went on 20 cruises. She had most recently traveled to Hawaii and Antigua.

Sharon Woods Sharon E. Woods, 60, of Avalon, died Thursday, March 31, 2011. She is survived by two daughters, Melissa Slepski and her husband Thomas Streiff and Shannon Slepski; two brothers, Charles D. Woods and his wife Marylyn and Ronald J. Woods; her granddaughter, Jaedyn Slepski; her former husband, Glenn Slepski; and nieces and nephews. Friend were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, where services were held on Sunday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Joanne Medwid Joanne E. Kozak Medwid, 92, wife of the late Nicholas Medwid, died Sunday, March 28, 2010/ She is survived by three children, Barbara Heinlein and her husband Bernard, Richard Medwid and his wife Harriet and James Medwid and his wife Margaret; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church on Wednesday. Memorial contributions are suggested to a favorite charity.

Joan Mehalich Joan M. Mehalich of Brighton Heights died Monday, March 29, 2010.
