A purse snatching on Spring Avenue was reported just after 6 p.m. on Dec. 9. The robber was described as a black male, about 5'10" tall, with a medium build. He was reported to have run up Laurel Avenue toward Grant carrying a tan corduroy bag and a Macy's bag.

A Greenough Avenue resident reported he was robbed at gunpoint by two white males and a white female on Dec. 2.

The burglary of a home on South Euclid Avenue was reported Dec. 3.

An Irwin Avenue residence was reported burglarized on Dec. 1.

Armed robbers hit mini mart

Two men fled on foot after robbing the Ben Avon Mini Mart on Friday, Sept. 11.

Police say the two, believed to be white males, showed a gun to the clerk and stole more than $500.

In other news from Ohio Township Police, two tires on a vehicle parked on Laurel Avenue in Ben Avon were reported cut on Sept. 13.

Police recovered a bicycle in the 500 block of Crawford Road on Sept. 16. It is described as a silver Pacific Eclipse D.J., BMX-style bike.

Julian Morgart, 19, of Verona, was cited for disorderly conduct on Sept. 10 after a disturbance at a Camp Horne Road business.

Ohio Township Police News

A radio and a backpack were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on Laurel Avenue in Ben Avon on June 16.

On June 17, it was discovered that change had been stolen from vending machines at ACORD Park.

Bellevue Police News

Bellevue police officers found two bullet casings on the street when they responded to a report of gunshots in the 100 block of Grant Avenue, near Laurel Avenue, on May 8. The incident is still under investigation.

Police also are continuing to investigate a man who ran from officers and jumped into the river on May 8. The man ran over the hillside near McDonald's restaurant on Ohio River Boulevard after spotting officers called to an incident at the business. The NorthWest EMS river rescue team responded, and the man was taken into custody.
