Theresa Zinkhan Theresa E. Zinkhan, 89, of Avalon, formerly of Wexford and wife of the late William "Pete" Zinkhan, died Friday, March 30, 2012. She is survived by her daughter, Marion Maniet and her husband David; three siblings, Mary Wolfarth, Edward and James Devine; and two grandsons, David Maniet Jr. and William Maniet. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Paul and Florence Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Monday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.

There are five four-year seats and one two-year seat that will be filled in the Northgate School Board elections this year. Primary votes for cross-filed candidates could wrap this up next week, or the vrace could wait until November for a final decision.

Tim Makatura Dr. Makatura, from Bellevue, was appointed to the board last August to fill a vacancy. A psychologist who works as a clinician and a college instructor, he holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology, a master's degree in guidance and counseling, and a Ph.D in psychology.

John Kaclik John Gabriel "Gabe" Kaclik, 83, of Ohio Township and Punta Gorda, FL, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011.

John Gregor John T. Gregor, 87, of Pittsburgh, husband of the late Gertrude Gregor, died Monday, Aug. 9, 2010 in Toledo, OH. Mr. Gregor was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, having served as a machine gun operator. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Bellevue Council #1400. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Barbara Mitchell; four siblings, George and Paul Gregor, both of Pittsburgh, Josephine Caughhorn of Toledo and Ann Bamiller of Chicago, IL; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Gregor.

The seventh annual J & J carnival to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital will be held Sunday, June 6, 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Bellevue.

Money was reported stolen from a purse at the Knights of Columbus hall on March 29.

Money and a computer were reported stolen from an apartment on West Riverview Avenue On March 30.

Two Glaser Avenue residents reported March 31 that items had been stolen from their vehicles. One vehicle was parked in a garage at the time of the break-in.

Vandalism to vehicles was reported April 2 on Brighton Road, and April 4 on Irwin Avenue.

Darren Gillespie, 40, of Highland Place, was charged with driving under the influence after a traffic stop on March 30.

Rosemary Heflin Rosemary Heflin, 77, of Bellevue, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009. Mrs. Heflin was a local politician serving as a Bellevue Council member and mayor. She is survived by her husband, Jack F. Heflin; six children, Kathy Conlon and her husband Tom of Tampa, FL, Roberta J. Conway and her husband Michael of Bellevue, Judith Glinski of Moon Township, Laura Ann Kozlowski of West View, Jack F. Heflin Jr. of Bellevue and David E. Heflin and his wife Jennifer of Emsworth; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandchild.
