A Pittsburgh man faces an extensive list of criminal charges after reportedly stealing 24 cents worth of gas from a Bellevue gas station and being pursued by police for about 500 feet.

David Marks, 52, of 25 Lanark St., Pittsburgh 15214, was caught after what police say was the latest in a series of gas station drive-offs.

Cindy Lou McMillen, 36, from Kingwood, WV, was arrested for fleeing and attempting to elude police, DUI and careless driving following a traffic stop on Route 65 in Emsworth on Sept. 3.

Edward Pinto, 46, of Bellevue, was charged with open lewdness and defiant trespass for swimming naked in the Ohio River On Sept. 4. Pinto was seen near the Emsworth Locks and Dams by a passing boater, police say.

Two parents have been charged with endangering the welfare of a child after Bellevue Police received a report that they had chained their 14-year-old daughter and left her alone in the home with only a much younger brother.

An Avalon woman reported being robbed in the alley behind her Center Avenue home on July 16. The woman told police that she was walking down the alley towards North Ohio Street when a white male walked past her, then turned around and came back. he pushed her to the ground and took her purse, police say.

An Avalon Police officer was injured April 1 in the foot pursuit of a man who turned out to be wanted by Beaver County police, and also was in possession of suspected cocaine.

Police say that Derrick Smith, 38, of Beaver Falls, hid when he spotted a police car on Malvern Road. Officer Bob Scott found Smith lying between the front porch of a home and a tree, at which time Smith began running toward Bellevue. The pursuit crossed North Home and North Starr avenues before entering the backyards of homes on Shade Avenue in Bellevue, where Smith was apprehended.

Ohio Township Police are continuing to investigate the possible attempted luring of a young teenage girl in Ben Avon Monday afternoon.

Police say that the 13-year-old was walking on Terrace Avenue, above Dickson Avenue, during the heavy rains about 4 p.m. A balding white male driving a four-door maroon colored car yelled at the girl to get into his car. He then drove around the block and returned to Terrace, where he again told the girl to get into the car. She continued walking and the man drove off.

The driver is described as having a red or brown mustache and beard.

The owner of a Bellevue business was killed early Monday morning when he wrecked his car in Franklin Park while attempting to flee from police.

Police said that Bryan Viviani -- owner of Viviani Motor Sports on Route 65 in Bellevue -- sped away when an officer tried to stop his vehicle for speeding on Route 910. The car was found overturned in a creek, and the female passenger was badly injured.

Viviani was about to stand trial on state charges of vehicle sales fraud.

A Gilliland Avenue resident reported Jan. 16 that someone had broken into his garage.

Vandalism to a vehicle on North Balph Avenue was reported Jan. 21. The tires were flattened and the car had been keyed, police say.

Todd Dewittler, 47 of Carnegie, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and driving with a suspended license on Jan. 22.

William Heasley, 37, of Sewickley, was charged with driving under the influence and violation of the drug act on Jan. 20.

A Bellevue man now faces multiple charges after he reportedly ran from police during the investigation of vandalism to a vehicle parked on California Avenue.

Police were called on Oct. 22 after a patron at Johnny’s Hideaway reported that someone had slashed the tires on her vehicle. officers were reviewing security tape footage and questioning Jamey Monroe, 21, of Forest Avenue, when Monroe reportedly ran from the bar.

Two attempted burglaries were reported: Someone tried to break into a home on Dunbar Avenue on Sept. 30, and into an apartment on Grant Avenue on Sept. 28.

A Bellevue man faces multiple felony charges after he attempted to outrun police on a motorcycle, then threw himself into oncoming traffic.

Police say that David Davis, 35, may have become agitated after being served with a Protection From Abuse (PFA) no-contact order earlier Wednesday night. About 1 a.m. Thursday, he was observed on a motorcycle on Ohio River Boulevard in Emsworth, where police say he ran the red light at Camp Horne Road.

Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) agents were called to Ohio Township Wednesday afternoon when police discovered what appeared to be a hand grenade in the console of a car stopped in connection with a possible attempted burglary in Franklin Park.

Two men face felony charges in separate domestic-related incidents handled this past week by Ohio Township Police.

Police say that Jaryd Boyer, 27, of Glenfield, grabbed the steering wheel of a car driven by his girlfriend while they were traveling on Route 65 in Emsworth on Tuesday. He was apprehended at the BP station after struggling with police and hitting an officer. Boyer faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and resisting arrest.

An Ohio Township man was charged with resisting arrest, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct following an incident on Crawford Road on April 3. Police say that Alexander Stern, 55, kicked a car that was traveling on Crawford, then scuffled with the responding police officers.

Edward Niedbala, 42, of Kilbuck Township, was charged with public drunkenness and possession of drug paraphernalia during an incident in Kilbuck on April 3.

James Schoeppner, 38, of Emsworth, was picked up on an Allegheny County bench warrant on April 2.

Ohio Township Police have charged two people with stealing Blu-Ray discs valued at $900 from the Mt. Nebo Target store on Jan. 9. Arrested were Melinda Schlemmer, 24, of Butler, and Christopher Rusnock, 25, of Elwood City.

Alan David Howe, 42, of Shaler, was charged with possession of a controlled substance at the Home Depot store on Jan. 11.

Joseph Druzak, 42, of Aliquippa, faces a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after he was arrested following a traffic stop on Ohio River Boulevard in Emsworth on Jan. 9.

A purse snatching on Spring Avenue was reported just after 6 p.m. on Dec. 9. The robber was described as a black male, about 5'10" tall, with a medium build. He was reported to have run up Laurel Avenue toward Grant carrying a tan corduroy bag and a Macy's bag.

A Greenough Avenue resident reported he was robbed at gunpoint by two white males and a white female on Dec. 2.

The burglary of a home on South Euclid Avenue was reported Dec. 3.

An Irwin Avenue residence was reported burglarized on Dec. 1.

A Shade Avenue resident reported being robbed of money on that street on Nov. 17. The robbers were a male and two females, police say.

The burglary of a home on Grant Avenue was reported Nov. 23.

A Textor Avenue resident reported Nov. 20 that her home had been burglarized.

An attempted break-in at Classic Chevrolet was reported Nov. 21. A van also was reported vandalized.

A laptop computer was reported stolen from a vehicle on Orchard Avenue on Nov. 24.

Copper pipe was reported stolen on Nov. 17 from a vacant house on South Bryant.

A Washington Avenue resident reported Nov. 15 that his vehicle had been stolen.

Two vehicles were reported broken into on Nov. 16, one on North Euclid and the other on Center.

A Forest Avenue resident reported his vehicle had been broken into on Nov. 13.

Francis Duffy, 27, of Pennridge Road, Pitts-burgh, and Krystal Waldschmidt, 19, of North Howard Avenue, were charged with arson after starting a bonfire in the wooded area off East Bellevue Station Road on Nov. 10.

Herman Brown, 49, of Gilliland Place, and a 15-year old male were arrested Oct. 21 for disorderly conduct during an incident on Lincoln Avenue.

Monroe Jones, 53, of South Harrison Avenue, faces a charge of disorderly conduct following an incident at an apartment building on South Harrison on Oct. 20.

Thomas Saar, 44, and William Hamilton, 45, both of McKees Rocks, were removed from the Northgate football game on Oct. 23 for being intoxicated. Police say the men will be cited.

A resident of Meade Avenue reported that two purses and a vehicle had been stolen during a burglary at the home on Oct. 10.

A Cliff Avenue resident reported an attempted burglary the same day.

A vehicle on Kendall Avenue was reported broken into on Oct. 7. Money and electronics were reported stolen.

The door to a home on South Harrison was reported vandalized on Oct. 11.

Ian McGee, 33, of Orchard Avenue, faces charges of simple assault and obstructing justice at the scene of a vehicle crash on Ohio River Boulevard on Oct. 6.

Two people were tied up and property stolen from their apartment during a “home invasion” by two armed males last Friday, Oct. 2.

The young couple walked to the Bellevue police station to report the robbery after their cell phone was stolen, police say.

According to Police Chief Matt Sentner, the two told police that they were awakened by two unknown black males who tied them up and then began removing property from the apartment. Among the items stolen were two guns, a game cube and DVDs, in addition to the phone and a small amount of cash.
