Police say that a car fire on Dawson Avenue on Feb. 22 was an arson.

Police were called to Shiloh Avenue on Feb. 11 after a man reported he had been robbed.

Items were reported stolen from a vehicle on Dawson Avenue on Feb. 16.

A vehicle on North Fremont Avenue was reported broken into and items stolen from it on Feb. 19.

Police were called on 16 after several vehicles on North Balph Avenue were spray-painted.

There are no clocks, no mirrors, no pictures, no plants, and no cell phones ringing in the Yoga on Fremont studios. And the only furniture is the instructor's desk, along with some "cubbies" where students can place coats and personal items before lessons start.

Once the sessions, which last approximately 75 minutes, begin, sounds are limited to the voice of the instructor leading students through their routine, with music playing whisper-soft in the background.

Eleanor Dvorsky Eleanor H. Herstich Dvorsky, 82, of Ross Township, wife of the late Joseph A. Dvorsky, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Mrs. Dvorsky retired as a nurse from Suburban General Hospital where she worked for 20 years. She was a member of St. Gabriel Parish and Risen Lord Church.

The third annual Classic Car Cruise, sponsored by Enjoy Bellevue and Classic Chevrolet, will be held this Sunday, May 22, from 1 until 4 p.m. along Lincoln Avenue.

Antique and show cars and motorcycles will line the Avenue between South Fremont and North Jackson.

The event also will feature various vendors and sidewalk sales by Bellevue businesses. The Bellevue Volunteer Fire Company will hold an open house to display its new aerial, and will be grilling hotdogs for visitors.

The traditional Good Friday Cross Walk will begin at Emanuel’s Lutheran, North Fremont Avenue, in Bellevue, at 11:15 a.m. and end at Greenstone United Methodist Church on Good Friday, April 22.

Taking turns carrying a full-sized wooden cross, members of local churches will make their way down Lincoln Avenue, pausing for readings and prayers along the way. The Cross Walk will end at Greenstone just before noon.

A Good Friday community service will be held at Greenstone beginning at noon. This year's service of scripture, meditation, song, and prayer will last one hour.

A white male with a large knife robbed the Sunoco station on Ohio River Boulevard in bellevue on April 23. Police were called at 12:23 a.m.

Police say that the residents of a South Euclid Avenue home were sleeping when the residence was burglarized at 2:12 a.m. on April 12.

Later that day, a burglary was reported at a Forest Avenue apartment.

Police also investigated a burglary of another Forest Avenue home on April 8.

A vehicle was reported stolen from South Fremont Avenue on April 12, and another was reported broken into on Crawford Avenue.

William Bartus William C. Bartus, 92, of Oakdale, PA, husband of the late Betty J. Megahan Bartus, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009. Mr. Bartus was a retired printer from Bankers Lithographics in Blawnox. He was a member of St. Patrick Church, Noblestown, the Holy Name Society and Meals On Wheels in Oakdale. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Albert Meiser, 23, of Ross Township, was arrested for the burglary of a Brighton Road business on Jan. 16.

A vehicle on South Harrison Avenue was reported vandalized Jan. 12.

John Holzapfel, 44, of Greenwood Avenue, Emsworth, was arrested Jan. 15 during a traffic stop. He was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, driving under the influence and motor vehicle code violations.

Police are investigating an incident in which the driver of a vehicle failed to stop after hitting a bicyclist on Sheridan Avenue on July 17. An officer found the victim, and medical personnel were dispatched to the scene.

An off-road motorcycle was reported stolen July 18 from the rear driveway of a home on Orchard Avenue.

BELLEVUE

A storefront window at Bellevue Vision on Lincoln Avenue was reported broken on June 23.

A vehicle on Orchard Avenue was reported stolen June 17. It was recovered later by officers on South Fremont Avenue.

A West View resident reported his vehicle windshield had been broken by an object that was thrown at it on June 17. The incident happened in the area of Union and Hillcrest avenues.

A manager at the Sunoco station on Ohio River Boulevard reported credit card fraud on June 16. The suspect was caught on videotape, police say, and the incident is being investigated.

Allegheny County Police homicide detectives have taken over the investigation of an accident that occurred in the driveway of Northgate High School Wednesday afternoon.

Police say an unidentified pedestrian was hit by a car, and sustained a serious injury. She was unconscious when police arrived at the scene about 2:52 p.m., and was taken to Allegheny General Hospital by NorthWest EMS.

In other news from Bellevue Police, a Jefferson Avenue woman reported May 13 that she had been robbed by two white males and one black male on May 10.

A Jefferson Avenue resident reported May 2 that there had been fraudulent charges on his debit card.

A vehicle on South Fremont Avenue was reported vandalized during the night on April 29.

Bellevue officers assisted Pittsburgh Police along with Allegheny County Homicide Detectives on Farragut Street with a female who had committed suicide by jumping off the High Bridge on April 30.

Lawrence Soeder, 42, of Ohio River Boulevard, was arrested April 30 for public drunkenness following an incident on Ohio River Boulevard.
