Kenneth Todoverto Sr. Kenneth M. Todoverto Sr., 81, of Bellevue died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Loretta Todoverto; four children, Kenneth Todoverto Jr. and his wife Sandy, Janice Barry and her husband Mike, Carla Pritchard and her husband Glenn and Donna Boyer; his sister, Louise Killian; and five grandchildren, Brian Verlihay and his wife Steph, Steven Verlihay, Glenn Pritchard Jr., Becky Pritchard and Ally Boyer.

Dorothy Malloy Dorothy R. Gastner Malloy, 91, of Emsworth, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011. She is survived by her husband, J. Regis Malloy; and three children, Bonnie Bass and her husband James, Diane Barr and her husband James and Ronald Malloy. Services and burial were private. Arrangements were made by the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home.

Alma Fleming Alma Eleanor Oestreicher Fleming, 97, of Wadsworth, OH, formerly of Kilbuck Township and wife of the late James D. Fleming, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Livingston and her husband Paul; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three nephews; and a niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Nellie Oestreicher; and her brother, Charles Oestreicher and his wife Helene. Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side, until the time of services on Friday. Burial was in Rosedale Cemetery.

Robert Schafers Robert H. Schafers, 84, of Kennedy Township, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 in Ohio Valley Hospital. Mr. Schafers was retired from Alcosan with 28 years of service. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

The turning lane between Camp Horne Road and the bridge that carries Route 65 (Ohio River Boulevard) over Lowries Run near Hiland Avenue in Emsworth closed on Monday, and will remain closed until November.

Motorists will still be able to access Camp Horne Road.

The $2.9 million project includes replacement of the existing single span through-girder bridge over Lowries Run, approach work and other miscellaneous construction between Locust Street and Beaver Avenue. The prime contractor is the Lane Construction Company of Pittsburgh. Overall work will be completed this fall.

He is survived by three daughters, Angie and her husband Todd, Patty and her husband Brian and Toni and her husband Jack; his sister, Philomena; six grandchildren, Christina, Brandon, Nicole, Ashley, Zackery and Miranda; two great-grandchildren, Anthony and J.T.; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and his dog, Ginger. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Angeloini; and two siblings, Art Angeloini and Betty McBurney.

William Kisling Sr. William R. Kisling Sr., 78, of Bellevue, died Wednesday, June 29 2011. Mr. Kisling was a longtime member of Northgate Church. He was an avid sportsman and outsdoorsman. He is survived by his wife, Nancy M. Kisling; four sons, John R. Kisling and his wife Jean, Thomas W. Kisling and his wife Toni, William R. Kisling Jr. and Ty Kisling; two sisters, Irene Roof and her husband Jack and Virginia Klimko and her husband Edward; and five grandchildren, Kelly, Brian, Zachary, Justin and Tyler Kisling.

Joan Bechtel Joan Marie Bechtel, 75, of Clarks Summit, PA, formerly of Bellevue, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in Hospice Community Care, Dunmore, PA. Ms. Bechtel was a Bellevue High School graduate. She was a retired executive secretary of Harbison-Walker in Pittsburgh. She was an active volunteer at Meals On Wheels and at Allegheny General Hospital. She was an avid traveler.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosemary Miller and Eleanor Hirsch.

PennDOT District 11 is advising motorists the single lane traffic restriction currently in place on northbound Route 65 (Ohio River Boulevard) in the area of the I-79 Interchange in Glenfield Borough, Allegheny County, will be removed around noon today, Friday, Dec. 17.

Northbound Route 65 will be fully reopened; southbound restrictions were removed earlier this month. Only the ramp from the Glenfield Viaduct to southbound Route 65 will remain closed through Dec. 23.

PennDOT District 11 is announcing work to replace the bridge that carries Route 65 (Ohio River Boulevard) over Lowries Run between Hiland Avenue and Camp Horne Road in the Borough of Emsworth, Allegheny County, has concluded for this year’s construction season. Single lane traffic restrictions on Route 65 were lifted today, Friday, Dec. 3.

The restrictions were removed shortly before noon. Route 65 is now fully reopened to two lanes in each direction in this area.

Newspaper reports described streets clogged with fans trying to catch a glimpse of the singer as she approached the theater where she was scheduled to perform. The venue was “Standing Room Only” long before her arrival, with tickets selling for the equivalence in today’s money of nearly $200. Thousands unable to get tickets gathered beneath the windows of her dressing room, hoping to hear the distant sound of her voice.

PennDOT District 11 is advising motorists that work to mill and pave Route 65 (Ohio River Boulevard) in the Borough of Avalon will occur around-the-clock Oct. 21-31, weather permitting.

Lane restrictions are currently in place on Route 65 between the Dilworth Run Bridge (near Wendy’s) and Locust Street. However, additional delays and possible traffic stoppages should be expected during the paving operations. PennDOT is advising motorists to allow extra time and be prepared for stop conditions and changing traffic patterns.
