Ann Deckenbach Ann L. Erdner Deckenbach, 93, of Oakmont, formerly of Avalon and wife of the late Charles Deckenbach, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011. She is survived by her daughter, Paula "P.J." Bombara; three sisters, Margaret Diroll, Sophia Pike and Dorothy Delp; and her granddaughter, Alecia M. Bombara. She was preceded in death by six siblings, Edith Munk, Mary Backe, Paul, Joseph, John and Edward Erdner. Friends were received at Burket-Truby Funeral Home, Oakmont, where services were held.

Helen Rooney Helen V. "Vonnie" Rooney, 95, of Elmira, NY, formerly of Pittsburgh and wife of the late Paul Rooney, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010. Mrs. Rooney had been a longtime member of Annunciation Church and past president of its Christian Mothers Association. She enjoyed bowling and her card clubs. She was an accomplished seamstress and cook.

Dale Heffley Dale D. Heffley, 65, of Ross Township, formerly of Avalon, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy "Peg" Heffley; his daughter, Catherine Oliverio and her husband Bill; two grandchildren, Salvatore "Sal" and Catherine "Katie" Oliverio; his sister-in-law, Nancy Bevan; his brother-in-law, John Wedlock and his wife Pat; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Catherine Heffley; and two brothers, James Heffley and Dee Carrick.

Mary M. Carte Mary M. Carte, 73 of Steubenville, OH, died Saturday, April 3, 2010 in Weirton Medical Center. Mrs. Carte was born on Aug. 19, 1936 in Emsworth. She was retired from Suburban General Hospital in as a nurse. She was Catholic by faith, and was a volunteer for the United Way and Red Cross. She was past president of the Women’s Club, and enjoyed reading, line dancing and bowling.

Lynne Nicotero Lynne M. Nicotero, 65, of Bellevue, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010. Mrs. Nicotero worked with the mentally and physically challenged for many years. She is survived by her husband, Ross V. Nicotero II; four children, Julie Sansotta and her husband Gary of Port Royal, SC, Ross Nicotero III and his wife April of Ross Township, Peter Nicotero and his wife Colleen of Spring Hill and Jessica Siwicki and her husband Jeremy of Sandy Lake, PA; and five grandchildren, Sarah, Dominique, Kaylee, Jeremy and Julian. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Pasquale.
