William McClelland William "Bill" McClelland, 58, of Bellevue, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010. Mr. McClelland was a member of Knights of Equity. He is survived by his wife, Janet Radanovich McClelland; his son, Conor McClelland; his in-laws, John and Lillian Radanovich, Rita Bell and Susan Stauber. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Ruth Fichter. Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in Most Holy Name Church on Monday.

Two injured in head-on crash

Firefighters, police and medics work to free Jean Parilla, 63, of Irwin Avenue, Bellevue, from her vehicle after it was hit head-on on Ohio River Boulevard in Avalon last Friday morning, Oct. 16. The driver of the second vehicle -- Jennifer White, 32, of Anaheim Street, North Side -- told police that she was traveling south on Route 65 when a brown car pulled out in front of her, causing her to lose control and cross over the center line, where her car collided with the vehicle driven by Parilla.

Education funding urged A resolution approved by the Northgate School Board will be sent to the state legislature, urging representatives to maintain state funding for schools.

"They're talking about giving us less money than they did last year," said superintendent Dr. Reggie Bonfield at the school board's committee of the whole meeting on Monday. "Hopefully that won't happen."

Team elimination? Northgate could eliminate its ninth grade boys' basketball team in an effort to bolster the school's varsity program.
