Paul DeWalt Paul C. DeWalt, 61, of Avalon, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Klixbull DeWalt; three children, Zachary, Sarah and Jacob DeWalt; his mother, Inis DeWalt; his sister, Beth DeWalt; three brothers-in-law, Thomas L. Klixbull and his wife Janet, Richart J. Klixbull and his wife Susan and Robert E. Klixbull and his wife Eileen; a sister-in-law, Linda S. Sanderson and her husband Sandy; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis DeWalt; and two brothers, John and Robert DeWalt.

Anna Marie Ayres Anna Marie Staudenmaier Ayres, wife of the late George W. Staudenmaier, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011. She is survived by four children, George W. Ayres Jr. and his wife Ruth, Mary Ann Turkovich, Margaret "Peggy" Ayres and Rose Marie Ayres; and her grandson, William Turkovich and his wife Stephanie. She was preceded in death by six brothers; and her son-in-law, John Turkovich.

Julia Janet McGurgan Julia Janet McGurgan of Catonsville, MD, died July 5, 2011. She was the wife of the late James H. McGurgan; She leaves four children, Joanne Edwards, Kathleen McGurgan, James McGurgan and Daniel McGurgan; a sister Dorothy Diehl; and grandchildren, Martin, Matthew, Angelee, Laura, Shaun, Justin, Megan and Lynn. A private service will be held in Pittsburgh at a later date. Arrangements will be made by the Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville Inc.

John Vuksic John M. Vuksic, 48, formerly of Bellevue, died Wednesday, May 4, 2011. He is survived by two sisters, Maryann V. Pfund and her husband Robert and Teresa Pelle and her husband Peter; a niece, Nicole; and two nephews, Peter and John. He was preceded in death by his parents, John M. Sr. and Anna Rock Vuksic. Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon. Funeral services were held in St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Allison Park, on Saturday.

Olive Jackson Olive Mae Combs Jackson, 87, of Emsworth, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011.

North Hills Community Outreach is requesting donations for its “Sharing Holiday Warmth” project.

Each year, several hundred local families receive food and utility credits as funding allows. Donations can be sent to NHCO at 1975 Ferguson Rd., Allison Park, PA 15101.

NHCO also is collected new, unwrapped toys for children and youth of all ages.

In addition to regular weekday hours, NHCO will be open Dec. 4, 9 a.m. to noon, to accept donations, Call (412)487-6316.

Rose Roehrig Rose Louise Riggs Roehrig, 85, of Walnut Creek, CA, formerly of Brighton Heights and wife of the late Chuck Roehrig, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010. Mrs. Roehrig was a 1943 graduate of North Allegheny High School. She had been a member of St. Cyril of Alexandria Church and a cheerleading coach. She participated in civic arts plays and church bazaars. She owned and managed Riggs Lounge and Restaurant from 1965 to 1983.

Gabriel Negri Gabriel Negri, 62, of West View, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010. Mr. Negri attended Bellevue High School. He worked as a stage hand for IATSE Local 3 for 20 years. He enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and building.

Judith California Judith Ann Papania California, 44, of Ross Township,. died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010. Mrs. California was a graduate of North Hills High School and Carnegie Mellon University. She worked as a chemical engineer for several years.

Aloysius Gallagher Aloysius M. Gallagher, 70, of Allison Park, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Mr. Gallagher worked as a consultant in human resources. He was a lector at St. Ursula Church in Allison Park and a volunteer and member of the Renew Group. He taught at the Heinz School of Carnegie Mellon University, St. Francis University, LaRoche College and Butler County Community College.

W. Kirk Saylor William Kirk Saylor, 78, of Bellevue died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in Forbes Hospice. Mr. Saylor was an active, longtime member of Greenstone United Methodist Church in Avalon. He was a 32nd degree Mason.

Bellevue Police arrested a man they believe was responsible for two burglaries. Michael Cannon, 30, of Stanford Avenue, Ross, was arrested on Feb. 20 for burglarizing a house on Staunton Avenue, as well as one on Cedar.

A Kendall Avenue home was reported burglarized on Feb. 25.

Tara Resch, 31, of Greenwood Drive, Allison Park, and Amanda Gore, 30, of Elm Street, West Mifflin, were arrested Feb. 22 for retail theft from the CVS Pharmacy. Jason White, also of Elm Street, was cited for disorderly conduct during the incident.

Lynne Nicotero Lynne M. Nicotero, 65, of Bellevue, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010. Mrs. Nicotero worked with the mentally and physically challenged for many years. She is survived by her husband, Ross V. Nicotero II; four children, Julie Sansotta and her husband Gary of Port Royal, SC, Ross Nicotero III and his wife April of Ross Township, Peter Nicotero and his wife Colleen of Spring Hill and Jessica Siwicki and her husband Jeremy of Sandy Lake, PA; and five grandchildren, Sarah, Dominique, Kaylee, Jeremy and Julian. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Pasquale.

Walter Beals Walter Beals, 67, of Ross Township, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009. Mr. Beals was a graduate of Bellaire High School and Duquesne University. He taught in the Pittsburgh Public School District for more than 30 years. During retirement, he enjoyed painting, sculpting, gardening and golf, tennis and bowling. He is survived by two children, Suzi Shaw and Steven Patton; and his sister, Tamara Pinarich. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Voynick.

Mildred Kastory Mildred Kastory, 84, of Bellevue, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009. Mrs. Kastory was retired from Gulf Oil Corp. with 27 years of service. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Schneider and her husband Gary of Bellevue and Mildred Rankin and her husband Donald of Australia; and two grandchildren, Christopher Schneider of Bellevue and Kylie Rankin Grose and her husband Ralston.
