More than 125 volunteers took to the streets and parks and lots and buildings of Bellevue last Saturday, accomplishing a long list of projects as part of the “Improve the Vue” project sponsored by the Bellevue Initiative for Growth (BIG). Scout, church and civic groups -- as well as a group of Bellevue Elementary School teachers pictured here painting the kitchen at the Lutheran Service Society meal site -- pitched in with individuals for some fall clean-up that included projects such as painting parking meter posts and fences and storefronts, picking up litter, repairing the gazebo at Bayne Park, planting flowers in the Hawley Avenue parking lot and building a biking/walking trail in the woods of Memorial Park.
