Ten Bellevue Elementary School teachers were randomly selected to receive $100 gift cards from Sam’s Club after the school was given the Mt. Nebo store’s designation as having the “teachers of the year.” Store representatives said that the cards could be used to purchase items for their classrooms, something teachers often pay for themselves. Rachelle Russo also received a gift card but was not present at the assembly held Tuesday.
