The fourth annual Summer Solstice Spectacular will be held June 23 - 26.
The “Pampered Pooch Promenade” will lead the way at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, from the YMCA patio at 629 Lincoln Ave. Registration for pooches to participate is $5. Proceeds will benefit The Bellevue Dog Woods.
Friday, June 24 is the “meet and greet” in Bayne Park. Residents can pack a picnic basket and meet their neighbors at street signs in the park.
Saturday, June 25 features merchant sidewalk sales, a car cruise on Bayne Avenue and the artisan/craft market in the Hawley Avenue parking lot. Artisans/crafters may still register for a 10 x 10 space at $15, by calling (412)761-5773 or logging onto www.enjoybellevue.org/crafts2011 to register.
The Bellevue Volunteer Fire Company will demonstrate an extrication in the borough employee parking lot on Bayne.
Adults and kids will enjoy nature printing in Bayne Park 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., and children ages 3 -14 can bring their decorated bike/scooter for the contest in Bayne Park, followed by a parade of wheels, noon - 1:30 p.m.
The garden party tour is a fund-raiser for Enjoy Bellevue, scheduled for Sunday, June 26, as a self-guided tour of select gardens, 1-4 p.m. Local residents interested in participating as one of the host gardens for the event are asked to contact Enjoy Bellevue at (412)761-5773 or email info@enjoybellevue.org
