A “National Night Out” celebration will be held outside the Mt. Nebo Target store on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

National Night Out is an annual event designed to raise crime prevention awareness and strengthen neighborhood spirit and unity.

Attractions will include EMS units, K-9 unit, ID kits, games, fire trucks, face painting, refreshments, infant seat checks and an off-road vehicle. Children can decorate a “Safety Star” t-shirt. There also will be a silent auction.

All proceeds will benefit the D.A.R.E. program.
