The 65th annual Avonworth Community Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 30, beginning at 10 a.m. in Emsworth.

The parade is sponsored by the Avonworth American Legion Post 866 and the Avonworth communities.

The parade will march along Center Avenue in Emsworth and continue along Church Avenue in Ben Avon and end at the Lance Cpl. Patrick Kenny Field on Ohio River Boulevard. Services will begin at 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be Capt. Andrew Zeltwanger.

Due to the weight restriction on the bridge on Center Avenue, fire trucks and emergency vehicles, will line up at the former Shop & Save parking lot and will follow behind Division II as it passes this point of the parade route. In case of rain, services will be held at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Smith Center.
