"Improve the Vue" is a day of community service in and around Bellevue. The Bellevue Initiative for Growth (B.I.G.) is planning the event, which will be held on Saturday Oct. 9.
The goal is to recruit 500 volunteers to take part in 10-15 community service projects aimed at improving assets in and around the town. Some of the projects individuals and teams are being asked to take part in include breaking ground on a new recreational trail, litter pick-up and weed pulling, painting the Bayne Library conference room, organizing the food pantry, and painting the fence around the Bellevue pool. Volunteers also are needed to help paint a number of business facades along Lincoln Avenue.
Individuals and teams are needed for these and other projects. No experience is necessary, and lunch will be provided. The day will conclude with a community celebration at Bayne Park featuring dinner, music and door prizes.
