Avonworth Community Park will hold its first annual Oktoberfest at the park's Mayernik Center on Saturday, Sept. 10.

The Oktoberfest will feature a full German dinner and German snacks, live German music from the band Heimat Klang, Penn Pilsner products and many other activities and entertainment.

Proceeds will benefit the rehabilitation of Miller Hall, with the goal of turning the historic park structure into a four-season community center.

The Oktoberfest will take place from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the park, 498 Camp Horne Rd., Kilbuck Township. Tickets are $50 per person; no guests under the age of 21 can be accommodated.
