Avalon Library is selling raffle tickets for a “Gardening Basket.” The raffle will be held at the Apple Blossom Festival on May 8, when the library also will hold a book and bake sale in front of the borough building from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The Tuesday Evening Book Club will meet in the front room of the library on April 27 at 6:30 p.m. This month’s book is “Snow Flower and the Secret Fan” by Lisa See. New members are welcome.

The Saturday Mys-tery Book Club will meet May 1 at 2 p.m. in the front reading room. The club will discuss “The Cruelest Month: A Chief Inspector Ganache No-vel” by Louise Penny.
