The AARP driver safety and driver safety refresher courses for senior citizens will be offered at Allegheny General Hospital - Suburban Campus this month.

The driver safety course will be held March 23 and 24, 9 a.m.-1p.m. on both days.

The class is open to drivers ages 50 and older with a valid driver’s license. Upon completion of the class, participants are eligible to receive a minimum 5 percent discount on their automobile insurance.

There is a $14 fee. AARP members receive a $2 discount.

Registration is required by calling Physician Access at 1-877-284-2000. Registration deadline is March 11.

The refresher course will be held March 30, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

This class is open to drivers who have previously taken the 8-hour class. Upon completion, participants are eligible to receive a minimum 5 percent discount on their automobile insurance.
