Animal Friends will host a "St. Pitty's Day" Pit Bull Adopt-a-thon on March 7.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes will be strolling around Animal Friends. There will be games and treats, Pit Bull education, a “Pitty Kissing Booth,” and “Pot O' Gold” specials in the boutique.

Many of the Pit Bulls' adoption donations will be underwritten by volunteers.

St. Pitty's Day is a great opportunity to learn more about the dogs that are so frequently misunderstood. Learn why Pit Bulls can make great family pets, why they usually make terrible guard dogs (because they love meeting new people!) and how to socialize and exercise a Pit Bull to ensure a loving, lifelong relationship.
