Avonworth High School will host its final informal discussion in the “Global Evenings at Avonworth” series at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 7. The topic for this April evening is “Avonworth Abroad: Study Abroad Programs.”

Featured speakers will be current exchange students at Avonworth, an Avonworth junior who recently returned from a year abroad program in Japan, and a University of Pittsburgh senior who completed a seminar in Turkey. The focus of the event is the importance of the exchange experience at the high school and college levels, cultural insights, and the benefits of study abroad programs.

The interactive discussion will be held in the Avonworth library, 304 Josephs Lane. Light refreshments will be served.
