An Avonworth senior is being charged with rape and indecent assault after being discovered with an unconscious girl at a post-prom party in an Ohio Township home last Friday.
According to Ohio Township Police Chief Norbert Micklos, witnesses at the party found Chad Stewart, 18, of Emsworth, sexually assaulting an unconscious girl.
The girl is a juvenile and is not from the North Boroughs, Micklos said.
In other news from Ohio Township Police, three people were charged with driving under the influence during the past week. Sabrina Morningstar, 19, of Conway, was arrested during a traffic stop on Duff Road in Ohio Township on May 13. On May 15, David Holtz, 47, of Millvale, was arrested during a traffic stop on Camp Horne Road in Ohio Township. Richard Humes, 21, of Forestville, PA, was charged following a stop on Church Avenue in Ben Avon.
Charges stemming from an April 24 domestic incident in Ohio Township were withdrawn by the victim. Charges of theft, burglary and recklessly endangering another person were dismissed against Patrick Aydelott, 49, of Royal Valley, PA following a preliminary hearing on April 29.
