Perrysville complaints

"It's been tough on residents the past two months," Michael Cozza told Ben Avon Council Tuesday. Cozza, a resident of Perrysville Avenue, was referring to the recent construction that has been taking place. "There's a lot of noise, a lot of dirt, and it's starting to look shabby."

He said workers dug a hole in front of his house and haven't fixed it, nor have they put any type of barrier around it. Cozza also said Waste Management has done a "terrible job" of working around the construction, and there is garbage all over the place, adding that he called Waste Management and the company came and picked up his garbage but nobody else's.

Currently, Columbia Gas and West View Water are replacing their lines along Perrysville, and actual construction on the road by the borough hasn't begun yet. Council members said they were unaware of the problems and urged residents to either contact the utility companies or the borough if the troubles persist.
