Avalon
All candidates running for election to office in Avalon were unopposed, and it still remains to be seen if a third ward council seat has been filled.
Mayor David Haslett was re-elected with 633 votes.
Current council president Ed Klicker will move into the elected tax collector's office in January. Klicker, who appeared on both the Democratic and Republican tickets, received 689 votes.
There were five seats on Avalon Council to be filled. Incumbent Democrat Ed Repp was re-elected in the borough's second ward, where he will be joined by fellow Democrat Jonathan Bernstein.
In the first ward, Thomas Lloyd Jr. was elected to his first four-year term, while appointed incumbent Ralph Cortese won a two-year seat. Both are Democrats.
No one was on the ballot for one third ward seat on council, but several write-in votes were recorded: some for appointed incumbent Albert Wurst, and some for David Dixon. They reportedly received an equal number of write-in votes, and the election will be decided at the county level in the coming weeks.

All unopposed candidates on the ballot for Emsworth Council were elected, despite a last minute write-in campaign that picked up a large number of votes.
Leading the ballot in votes was incumbent Paul Getz, who appeared on both the Democratic and Republican tickets. He was followed by newcomer Daniel Lenz and incumbent Amy.Adams on the Democratic ticket, and Kenneth Kroen, who also appeared as both a Democrat and Republican.
There were 152 write-in votes in the council race, almost all of them for newcomer Kevin Yurkovich.

Emsworth voters also elected unopposed candidates for mayor and tax collector. Dee Quinn will move into the mayor's office in January, having received 334 votes, while Louis Mazur was re-elected tax collector with 316 votes.
Kilbuck Township
Thomas Tomaro remained unopposed in the general election, and received 100 votes for the one open seat on the board of supervisors. Tomaro appeared as both a Democrat an a Republican.
There were no candidates for the position of tax collector in Kilbuck, but a number of write-in votes were recorded. It is unknown if the position actually has been filled by voters.
Ben Avon Heights
There was no opposition in any of the elections decided in Ben Avon votes.
Republican Scott Dismukes won another term as mayor, having received 86 votes.

Cynthia Phelps received 71 votes to be re-elected tax collector in the Heights.
Ohio Township
Supervisors’ chairman Herbert Hartle Jr. was unopposed on the general election ballot. the Republican incumbent was re-elected with 465 votes.
Republican Kristen Pontello received 470 votes to be elected tax collector.
