Julia Bamberger
Julia Bamberger, 97, of Bellevue, wife of the late William Bamberger, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012.
She is survived by four children, Richard Bamberger, William Bamberger, Connie Redman and Barbara Boyd and her husband Howard; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Kay Bamberger.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Monday. Burial was in St. Boniface Cemetery.

Victor Henke Jr.
Victor L. Henke Jr. of Emsworth, husband of the late Kathryn Heintz Henke, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012.
Mr. Henke was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of West View VFW Post #2754.
He is survived by two children, Richard V. Henke and his wife Claire and Marilyn Schoener and her husband Albert; two sisters, Catherine Reid and Evelyn Unger; and four grandchildren, Jason and Hannah Henke, Erik and Kurt Schoener. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rose Ebitz.
Friends were received at T.B. Devlin Funeral Home, North Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in Sacred Heart Church in Emsworth on Monday.

Frances Smith
Frances A. Oestreicher Smith, wife of the late Thomas A. Smith, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012.
She is survived by three daughters, Janet M. McLane and her husband Rob, Patty Shatkoff and her husband Wayne and Sharon Quigley; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Rob Quigley; and five siblings.
Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in Risen Lord Church on Monday. Memorials are suggested to her church at 3250 California Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212.

William Streit Sr.
William J. "Bill" Streit Sr., 80, of Ross Township, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012.
Mr. Streit worked at Kress Tire Co. for 51 years as a sales manager. He was past president of North Side Rotary for 25 years and a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Dusek Streit; two children, William J. "Bill" Streit Jr. and his wife Amelia and Mary B. Mesinere and her husband Dave; and two granddaughters, Brook and Alyssa. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Edward and Aleane Streit.
Friends were received at Schellhaas Funeral Home, West View. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Monday.
Leon Tempalski
Leon E. Tempalski died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012.
Mr. Tempalski was a 1976 graduate of Avonworth High School. He worked in the steel industry as a mechanical engineer for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Shelly A. Tempalski; two sons, Andrew J. Tempalski and Alex I. Tempalski and his wife Janet; and seven siblings, Anita J. Cirlingione, Robert L. Tempalski and his wife Donna, Ronald Tempalski and his wife Barbara of California, Edward Tempalski and his wife Nancy of Colorado, Raymond Tempalski and his wife Jan, Andrea J. Hildenbrand and her husband Raymond and Karen M. Carpenter and her husband James. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Samuel Cirlingione.

Patrick Capo
Patrick C. Capo, 72, of Richland Township, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Coe Capo; two sons, Jeffrey A. Capo and Jonathan J. Capo and his wife Julie; his sister, Ruth Capo; his grandson, Jonah Patrick Capo; in-laws Shirley L. Gottshall and her husband Ted and Robert A. Coe and his wife Susan; and nieces and nephews.

Rita Finn
Rita Finn, Ph.D., 71, of Avalon, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012.
Dr. Finn received her degree in family therapy specializing in drug and alcohol abuse. She served as Sister in the Order of Missionary of the Precious Blood for 22 years. For the next 30 years, she was a private counselor for families and individuals with addictions. She also was a volunteer at the Center for Spirituality in Pittsburgh.
She is survived by her sister, Donna McGee and her husband Ed of Mars, PA; her nephew, Chad Cherok of Mars; and her dog, Buddy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Agnes Bane Finn.
Friends were received at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Mars. Fr. Charles Bober conducted a prayer service on Monday and services were held on Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Thomas Hessong
Thomas A. Hessong, 64, of Emsworth, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012.
Mr. Hessong was retired from GPOA with 15 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Crynack Hessong; two daughters, Lori Bosetti and her husband Gary and Bekki Hessong; his brother, Richard Hessong and his wife Sandy; and two grandsons, Daniel and Matthew Bosetti. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rosella Hessong.
A memorial service will be held in St. James Lutheran Church in Emsworth on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or Camp Lutheryn, 125 Venango Lane, Prospect, PA 16052. Louise Cook
Louise B. Cook, 96, formerly of Ben Avon, Avalon, Bellevue and Greentree and wife of the late Thomas B. Cook, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 in Masonic Village of Sewickley.
Mrs. Cook was a 1934 graduate of Ben Avon High School. She worked at Kaufmann's department store for 27 years and retired in 1978. She was an avid bowler, card player and gardener focusing on landscaping at her home.
She is survived by three children, Wayne Cook of Weatherford, TX, Herb McVay of Ocean City, NJ and Karen McVay Monito of Adams Township; two sisters, Helen McEntire and Peggy Kelley; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at Copeland Funeral Home, Sewickley, where services were held on Wednesday. Burial was private.

Michael LaRocca
Michael A. LaRocca of Franklin Park, formerly of Bellevue and husband of the Rose Andolina LaRocca, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012.
He is survived by his son, Gregory M. LaRocca and his wife Janet; his brother, Louis LaRocca; and two granddaughters, Rachel and Elizabeth LaRocca.

Harry Morrow Sr.
Harry W. Morrow Sr., 86, of Bellevue, died Saturday, Sept 22, 2012.
Mr. Morrow was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in B Company, 272nd Infantry Regiment, 60th Infantry Division in the Ardennes, Central Europe and Rhineland campaigns. He was a member of VFW Post #2754, where he served as color guard. He retired in 1990 from Classic Chevrolet in Bellevue, where he was an auto body repairman for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth A. Morrow; two sons, Harry W. Morrow Jr. of Akron, OH and Ken Morrow Sr. and his wife Eileen of Millvale; his stepson, Jerry Walter of Bellevue; and seven grandchildren, Ken Morrow Jr. Eugene, Stacy, Nicole, Cody, Cassandra and John Walter. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Eugene Walter; three brothers, Robert, Bert and William Morrow; and his granddaughter, Samantha Walter.

James Decker Sr.
James V. Decker Sr., 85, of Franklin Park, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Ann Morrissey Decker; seven children, James V. Decker Jr., Janet M. Heintz and her husband Tim, Patricia A. Devine and her husband Ed, Richard M. Decker and his wife Joyce, Thomas E. Decker and his wife Mary Grace, Mary E. Decker and Robert J. Decker; two sisters, Mary O'Leary and Frances Sweeten; 10 grandchildren, Luke, Eddie, Shannon, Josh, Elaine, Tommy, Kelly, Megan, Curt and Heather; and a great-grandson, Caleb. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Decker.

Mercedes Lofink
Mercedes Herbert Lange Lofink, 89, wife of the late Francis Lange and John J. Lofink, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012.
Mrs. Lofink was a longtime member of St. Alexis Church in Wexford.
She is survived by two siblings, Armella Bachman and Claude Herbert and his wife Virginia; three stepchildren, David Lofink and his wife Terry, Pamela Kridgen and her husband Joseph and Rebecca Dessell and her husband Dale; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Brian, Matthew, Samantha and Heather; a great-grandchild, Jase; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Marie Herbert; two siblings, Rosemary Kruss and her husband Robert and James Herbert; her brother-in-law, Karl Bachman; and her sister-in-law, Arlo Herbert.
