Aloysius M. Gallagher, 70, of Allison Park, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010.
Mr. Gallagher worked as a consultant in human resources. He was a lector at St. Ursula Church in Allison Park and a volunteer and member of the Renew Group. He taught at the Heinz School of Carnegie Mellon University, St. Francis University, LaRoche College and Butler County Community College.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen O'Connell Gallagher; four children, Manus A. Gallagher of Brooklyn, NY, Bernard F. Gallagher of Annapolis, MD, Mary Grace Gallagher of Annapolis and Megan A. Gallagher of Tacoma Park, MD; his sister, Kathleen Salamon of Bellevue; and eight grandchildren, Owen, Hugh, Finn, Gabriel, Maeva, Ian, Eleanor and Gavin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manus and Grace Gallagher; his sister, Margaret Wadding; and his brother, George Gallagher.
Friends were received at Neely Funeral Home, Glenshaw. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Ursula Church on Saturday. Patrick Riley Sr.
Patrick "Pat" Kelly Riley Sr., 61, of Great Mills, MD, formerly of Pittsburgh, died Saturday, June 2, 2010 in St. Mary Hospital.
Mr. Riley was retired from the Dept. of the Navy, where he had been a contract specialist.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Whitten Riley; two children, Patrick Kelly Riley Jr. of New Kensington and Colleen Marie Riley Cutchember and her husband Myron of Leonardstown, MD; six siblings, Rose Marie Matela Riley of Bellevue, Elaine Kostishack of Boston, MA, Linda Brown and Grace Brown, both of Bellevue, William Riley of Pittsburgh and James Riley of Middletown, NY; two grandsons, Donovan Riley and Patrick Kelly Cutchember; and brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Joseph and Eleanore Rose Kelly Riley; his stepfather, Charles Brown; and his nephew, William Riley.
Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in the Church of the Assumption on Saturday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery. Doris L. "Doddie" Ellis, 83, of Avalon, wife of the late Benjamin L. Ellis, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010.
Mrs. Ellis was a longtime member of Little Hill United Methodist Church. She was an active member of West View Ladies Auxiliary VFW #2754 and a member of Economy Borough Senior Citizens, Valley Veterans in Glenfield, Little Hill Keenagers and Franklin Park AARP.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret E. Heilman of Sewickley; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Jean G. Meineke, Irene E. Thoerner and Harriet J.M. Sarver.

Anna Mae Sehrer
Anna Mae Link Sehrer, 86, of Bellevue, wife of the late Edward P. Sehrer, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010.
She is survived by two sons, William Sehrer and his wife Maryann and David Sehrer and his wife Kathy; and five grandchildren, Jamie Sehrer, Brian Sehrer, Carey Mejalli, Kelly Friedberg and Billy Flaherty. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Flaherty.
There was no visitation. Arrangements were made by H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, North Hills.
Mildred C. Kerr O'Neill, 86, of Sewickley, wife of the late John J. O'Neill Sr., died Thursday, July 1, 2010 in Heritage Valley, Sewickley.
She is survived by five children, John J. O'Neill and his wife Lariane of Sewickley, Edward O'Neill and his wife Patti of Franklin Park, Thomas G. O'Neill and his friend Linda of Sewickley, Kathleen F. Trimble and her husband John of Ben Avon and Daniel P. O'Neill and his wife Sue of Leetsdale; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Gertrude Mueller Kerr; and two brothers, Edward J. and John R. Kerr.
Friends were received at Richard D. Cole Funeral Home, Sewickley. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. James Church in Sewickley on Monday. Burial was in St. James Cemetery, Sewickley. William J. Yost of Pittsburgh died Friday, July 2, 2010.
Mr. Yost was a member of the VFW for 54 years.
He is survived by a dear friend, Ben Woods and his family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cecelia Yost.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in Risen Lord Church on Tuesday.
Cristina M. "Tina" Arend Shandor, 40, of Avalon, died Friday, July 2, 2010.
She is survived by her husband, John F. Shandor; two children, Katherine and Michael Gielewski; three stepdaughters, Britny and Ashley Shandor and Amy Paul; two brothers, William and Robert Arend; five grandchildren, Kylee Landy, Ciarra, Domenic, Albert and Madison; her mother-in-law and fathers-in-law, Eileen and Paul Campbell of Finleyville and John Shandor of South Park; and her sister-in-law, Denise Riggle and her husband of Richeyville, PA.
There was no visitation and services were private. Arrangements were made by Ball Funeral Chapel.
John H. "Jack" Miller, 70, of Mercer, PA, formerly of Aliquippa and Bellevue, died Monday, June 28, 2010.
Mr. Miller owned and operated Miller's Cleaners in Hopewell, Sewickley, Coraopolis, Bellevue and Moon Township. He was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Mercer. He was a U.S. Army veteran and had been active in the PTA, Cub Master and helped to restart the Cub Scout troop in Bellevue. He also was active in church activities and was currently a deacon. He was past president and former assistant governor of the Aliquippa Rotary. He was a member of the board and building chairman of the Aliquippa Salvation Army and had helped build a new building.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara L. Hipwell Miller; two children, Thomas Allen Miller of Center Township and Jennifer Boots and her husband Raymond of Fombell, PA; his sister, Virginia Francis of Wilmington, NC; and four grandchildren, Joshua, Jordan and Raven Boots and Zack Miller.
Friends were received at Cunningham Funeral Home, Mercer. A memorial service was held in Bethany Presbyterian Church on Friday with the Rev. James Leuenberger, pastor, officiating.
