Catherine Dopp
Catherine M. "June" Dopp of Brighton Heights died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009.
Mrs. Dopp was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America for 60 years and a member of St. Cyril of Alexandria Christian Mothers.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph W. Dopp; nine children, Francis and his wife Joanne, David and his wife Joyce, Mary Usnick and her husband Michael, Jerome and his wife Wanda, Judith Mankevich and her husband John, Janice Debes and her husband Michael, Jacqueline McHenry, Timothy and his wife Vicy and Catherine Dopp; two brothers, Joseph and Francis Muenz; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Ruth Wakelin and Louis Muenz.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church on Monday. Contributions are suggested to St. Jude Hospital, Covenant House, St. Cyril of Alexandria Church of Marian Hall.
John Graham
John W. Graham of Brighton Heights died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009.
He is survived by his brother, Jim Graham and his wife Sue. He was the uncle of Jami, Kelli and Erin. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jean Graham.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side, where services were held on Monday. Contributions are suggested to Good Samaritan Hospice House, 146 Neely School Rd., Wexford, PA 15090.
Amber Kallstrand
Amber L. Seifert Kallstrand of Brighton Heights, wife of the late George E. Kallstrand, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth G. Kallstrand; her daughter-in-law, Marlene Kallstrand; three grandchildren, Donald G. Kallstrand and his wife Kristen of Florida, Elaine McKeown and her husband Kevin of Indiana and Alan R. Kallstrand of New York; and five great-grandchildren, Christopher, Justin, Isabel, Nathaniel and Owen. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert C. Kallstrand.
Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral service was held in Brighton Heights Lutheran Church on Monday.
JoAnn Dunham
JoAnn A. "C" Dunham, 75, of Evans City, Connoquenessing Township, formerly of Bellevue, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009.
Mrs. Dunham had been the owner of Candi's Tanning Salon in Bellevue. She was a volunteer at Suburban General Hospital Emergency Room for three years and had attended St. Ferdinand Church in Cranberry Township
She is survived by her husband, John "Jack" Dunham; three children, Jon Dunham and his wife Marcia of Gibsonia, Robert Dunham and his wife Nancy of Bellevue and Terri Consevage and her husband John of Mechanicsburg, PA; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Mary Regina LaFace.
Friends were received at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Mars, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Ferdinand Church on Monday, with Fr. John Gallagher, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery, Prospect, PA. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Patricia Blais
Patricia L. "Patty" Blais, 48, of Bellevue, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009.
She is survived by her mother, Margot Blais of Charlotte, NC; three sisters, Cindy Blais of Charlotte, Cathy Covert and her husband Jerry of Tonawanda, NY and Jeannie Blais of Buffalo, NY; her niece, Dana Schott and her husband Dr. Christopher of Virginia Beach, VA; and aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard J. Blais Sr.; and two brothers, Richard J. Blais Jr. and Martin W. Blais.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Monday. Burial was private.
Rose Hirschfield
Rose A. Hirschfield, 79, of Bellevue, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009.
She is survived by her husband, William J. Hirschfield; four children, Carol Larson of Franklin Park, William T. Hirschfield and his wife Elaine of Ross Township, Diane Rothert and her husband Alvin of Evans City and Anita Hnatow and her husband Michael of Ross Township; two siblings, Andrew Salamacha and Frances Lay; nine grandchildren, Edward, Brett, Brian, Shawn, Karolee, Kimberly, Sherri, Christopher and Daniel; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Edward and Alex Salamacha.
