Alice Koenig
Alice Faulkner Koenig, 64, of Emsworth, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009.
She is survived by her husband, Mark W. Koenig; six children, Laura Arcan and her husband Metin, Bob Faulkner, Tom Faulkner and his wife Debbie, Brian Faulkner and his wife Jill, Eric Faulkner and his wife Stacy and Alice Mack and her husband Ken; two siblings, Ralph Earl and Audrey Karr; 12 grandchildren, Bobby, Brandi, Ben, Amanda, Jeremiah, Brian Jr., Connor, Trevor, Peyton, Katelyn, Jeremy and Kenny; and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Faulkner.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, until the time of services on Saturday. Burial was private.

Linda Duncan
Linda D. Shively Duncan, 58, of Ohio Township, wife of the late William Lee Duncan, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009.
Mrs. Duncan was a 1969 graduate of Avonworth High School.
She is survived by her son, William "Troy" Duncan; and five brothers, Alan J., Joseph A. Jr., Wayne R., Richard F. and Mark W. Shively.

Mary Jo Gray
Mary Jo Kolechta Gray of Avalon died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009.
She is survived by her husband, John E. Gray; her son, William Kolechta of Plain Oak, TX; three grandchildren, Thomas Ray III and Travis King and Alexandra Kolechta, all of Lubbock, TX; and her niece, Gwen McKinney of Oak Harbor, OH. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Darla Kolechta King.

Mary Bet Hummel
Mary Bet Hummel, 92, of Ben Avon Heights, wife of the late William S. Hummel, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009.
Mrs. Hummel was a longtime member of Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon, where she was active in the choir. She was a member of the Fortnightly Study Group, Community Theatre Players, several bridge clubs, and for 30 years she volunteered at Bellevue Meals On Wheels.
She is survived by three children, Margaret W. Prosch and her husband Gerald of Grand Blanc, MI, Steven L. Hummel of Ortonville, MI and W. Roy Hummel of Franklin Park; seven grandchildren, Steward W. "Woody" and his wife Michelle, John G. and Daniel R. Prosch and his wife Sara, Ryan M., Timothy R. and his wife Carrie, Carl W. and Jessica A. Hummel; a great-granddaughter, Dani Elizabeth Prosch; a niece, Sarah E. Neely; and two nephews, William C. Neely and his wife Carol and Thomas E. Neely and his wife Kiki.

John Sayut
John J. Sayut, 85, of Avalon, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009.
Mr. Sayut served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II as a staff sergeant, and participated in the occupation of Japan.
He is survived by his wife, Christine B. Sayut; five children, Lorraine Buerkle and her husband John, Eleanor Longwell, Nancy Buchko and her husband Michael, John P. Sayut and his wife Heidi and Joseph E. Sayut and his wife Gloria; his brother, Frank Sayut; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Joseph, Michael, Mary Beilstein and Elizabeth Coyne.
Friends were received at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Ross. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Wednesday. Burial was in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

Michael Miller
Michael E. Miller, 61, of Ohio Township, formerly of Youngstown, OH, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009.
Mr. Miller attended the University of Detroit and received a bachelor of arts degree from Youngstown University. His professional life focused on information technology. He coached soccer leagues and participated in the Knights of St. Peter Claver, and awarded scholarships with the Bayer Foundation.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Garcia Miller; his son,Sean Miller and his wife Nakia of Cleveland, OH; his mother, Sally Miller; and his brother, Kenneth Miller. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Miller.

Joan Schmidt
Joan C. Schmidt, 71, of Shaler Township, formerly of Emsworth and Bellevue, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009.
She is survived by two sisters, Patricia Weiss of Bellevue and Carol Davis and her husband James of McCandless Township; five nieces and nephews, Patti Ann Hunt, James Davis, Joseph Weiss Jr., Melissa Taylor and her husband Mike and James Weiss and his wife Jamie; eight grandnieces and grandnephews, Louis Hunt, Priscilla Bowra, Joseph S. Weiss, Joshua Weiss, Amanda Taylor, Alex Taylor, Anthony Bowra and Jacquelyn Weiss; and two great-grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Donald Murphy; her brother, Joseph Weiss; her grandnephew, Clark Bowra; and her brother-in-law, Joseph Weiss.

Eugene C. Clarke, 90, formerly of Emsworth, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy C. Clarke; his children, Joanne Loedding and her husband Ed, Jerry Clarke and his wife Sue, Eugene "Kit" Clarke Jr., Peggie Dozier, Marybeth Sommers and her husband Jim, Karen Orban and her husband John; two siblings, John Clarke and Dorothy Leith; 12 grandchildren, Jeffrey Loedding, Lisa Lewis, Jessica and Jerry Clarke, Curtis and Faith Dozier, Erin, Kevin, Maura and Shane Sommers, and Sarah and Stephanie Orban; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara.

David Thomas Duddy, 54, of Ben Avon, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009.
Mr. Duddy was a self-employed contractor.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas J. and Betty Jane Kessler Duddy; seven siblings, Thomas J. Jr., Michael, Daniel, John, Kathleen and Karen Duddy and Donna Sens; and two cousins, Karen Kane and Debbie Porkorney.

She is survived by two sons, Barry J. Novosel Jr. and his wife Kathleen S. and Darren J. Novosel and his wife Heather; three siblings, John Benkart, Carol Heyl and Barb Salinetro; three grandchildren, Joseph, Alexandria and Makyla; nieces and nephews; and longtime companion, Jesse Price. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Anne Benkart; and three siblings, Earl Benkart Jr., Ray Benkart and Shirley Brandl.

Michael D. Lomnicki, 51, of Ross Township, formerly of Bellevue, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009.
Mr. Lomnicki was a customer service representative with Aetna Insurance.
He is survived by his sister, Madeline Stofko and her husband Edward; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Micheline Lomnicki.

Helen L. Kucan Shamick, wife of the late Joseph William Shamick, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009.
She is survived by her son, William J. Shamick of Michigan; three siblings, Margaret Zientara, Mary Hamas and Edward Kucan. She was preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Kucan.

Emma Rimsky
Emma Delores Rimsky, 90, of Annapolis, MD, formerly of Bellevue and wife of the late Andrew A. Rimsky, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009.
She is survived by her son, Gerald Andrew Rimsky and his wife Bette; two siblings, Michael Molnar and Helen Fekete; her granddaughter, Andrea Horning and her husband Steve; three great-grandchildren, Emma, Andy and Lily Horning; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Katherine Molnar.

Paul Nettrour Jr.
Paul W. Nettrour Jr., 81, of St. Paul Homes, Greenville, PA, formerly of Bellevue and husband of the late Catherine Hope Panagulias Nettrour, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009.
Mr. Nettrour was a graduate of Bellevue High School and Allegheny College. He was the retired president of Martin and Nettrour, Inc. He was a member of Infinity Lodge #546 F&AM, Scottish Rite and Shrine and Masonic Jesters. He also was a longtime member of Shannopin Country Club, Highland Country Club, the Duquesne Club and the University Club.
He is survived by two siblings, Charles E. Nettrour and his wife Mary Lou of McCandless Township and Lois Durawski of St. Louis, MO; his step-granddaughter, Christine Hudson; seven nieces and nephews; and grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Janet Nettrour.

Amanda Bussard, 24, of Camden, NC died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009.
