Louise Jeffrey
Louise E. Retacco Jeffrey of Indiana Township, wife of the late Sam F. Jeffrey, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010.
She is survived by five children, Theresa Brunick of Cheswick, Louise Martinelli and her husband Robert of Brighton Heights, Francis Jeffrey and his wife Donna of Indiana Township., Anthony Jeffrey of Indiana Township and Guy Jeffrey and his wife Mary of Hampton; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gennaro and Teresa Pugliese Retacco; and six brothers.
Friends were received at Frank R. Perman Funeral Home, Shaler. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Francis of Assisi Church on Wednesday. Donations are suggested to the School for the Blind, 201 N. Bellefield Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15213-1499.

Stella Schwartz
Stella Mae Schwartz of Pulaski, PA, formerly of Bellevue and wife of the late William Schwartz, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2010.
She is survived by a niece and a nephew, Phyllis-Ann Mandella and Robert Zoller; and a grandniece, Carrie Mandella. She was the great-grandaunt of Jesse and Makaila Booker. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Zoller Jr.
Services were private. Arrangements were made by Thomas M. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Blawnox.

Gregory Waller
Gregory W. Waller of Etna died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010.
Mr. Waller was a prep cook at the Duquesne Club in downtown Pittsburgh. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Valotta Waller; two daughters, Theresa Worst and her husband Douglas and Sarah Waller, all of Etna; his father, George E. Waller of Brighton Heights; three siblings, Mary Waller of Ambridge, Katie McGrail of Bellevue and George R. Waller of Spring, TX; his granddaughter, Sophia Worst; nine nieces and nephews; and four grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Louise Roach Waller.
Friends were received at Frank R. Perman Funeral Home, Shaler. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in All Saints Church in Etna on Tuesday.

Louise Garafola
Louise M. Mouradian Garafola, 78, of Freedom, PA, formerly of Bellevue and wife of the late Alfonso J. Garafola, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009.
Mrs. Garafola retired in 1997 from Mellon Bank, where she worked for 35 years in the tax department.
She is survived by three daughters, Laura A. Sullivan of North Fayette Township, Natalina L. Lacher of Ross Township and Paula J. Garafola of Freedom; three grandchildren, Ronald W. Lacher, Melissa M. Lacher and Michael J. Garafola; and a great-grandchild, Chase D. Lacher. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Murat Mouradian, B. Paul Mouradian and Gladys Topolski.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Monday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association, 777 Penn Ave., Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.

Elizabeth Pflugh
Elizabeth "Sis" Holzer Pflugh, 84, of Glenfield, wife of the late Harry W. "Bud" Pflugh, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009.
Mrs. Pflugh was a member of St. Mary Church in Glenfield, its Ladies Guild and was a eucharistic minister.
She is survived by four sons, Richard W. Pflugh and his wife Jackie, Donald W. Pflugh and his wife Patricia, Gary W. Pflugh and his wife Marlene and Terence W. Pflugh and his wife JoAnn; seven grandchildren, Tracey Hartman and her husband Brian, Richard Pflugh and his wife Rebecca, Sherri Wydra and her husband Michael, Karen Dulemba and her husband Brian, Brianna, Brittny and Amanda Pflugh; and a great-grandson, Carter Miles Pflugh. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Frederick "Fritz," Richard and Joan Holzer and Susan O'Neil.
Friends were received at Copeland's Sewickley Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Mary Church on Tuesday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.

Julia Poppinger
Julia "Skip" Poppinger, 94, formerly of Glenfield and wife of the late William H. Poppinger, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009 in Masonic Village of Sewickley in Aleppo Township.
Mrs. Poppinger was a member of Glenfield Lutheran Church.
She is survived by three siblings, Mary Greenwald and her husband Frank of Coraopolis, John Kipilo and his wife Toni of Baden and Charles Kipilo of Glenfield; her sister-in-law, Melbo Kipilo; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lizzie Markica Kipilo; and her brother, George Kipilo Sr.
Services were private. Burial was in St. Alexander Nevskey Cemetery, Ross Township. Arrangements were made by Richard D. Cole Funeral Home, Sewickley.

Minnie Graham
Minnie Grace Graham, formerly of the North Side and wife of the late Walter N. Graham, died Friday, Dec. 25, 2009.
She is survived by two daughters, Hazel Pinto of Emsworth and Carol Ann Byrnes of McCandless; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, where services were held on Monday.

Leona Hungerman
Leona M. Fohl Hungerman, wife of the late William A. Hungerman, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Ann Riegner and her husband Daniel, Dora May Curtin and her husband Vincent Jr. and Rose Marie Hungerman; three siblings, Dorothy Stern, Edward Fohl and Ruth Jones; two grandchildren, Kristin R. Nestor and Vincent P. Curtin III; and a great-grandson, John R. Nestor Jr. She was preceded in death by her son, William A. Hungerman.
Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church on Tuesday. Memorials are suggested to St. Cyril of Alexandria School.
