William Bartus
William C. Bartus, 92, of Oakdale, PA, husband of the late Betty J. Megahan Bartus, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009.
Mr. Bartus was a retired printer from Bankers Lithographics in Blawnox. He was a member of St. Patrick Church, Noblestown, the Holy Name Society and Meals On Wheels in Oakdale. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by six children, Charles E. Bartus and his wife Andrea of Ross Township, William D. Bartus and his wife Sandy of Oakdale, David R. Bartus and his wife Lisa of Ben Avon, Loretta E. Hennemuth and her husband Paul of Oakdale, Gregory M. Bartus and his wife Carol of Warrenville, IL and Mark S. Bartus and his wife Cindy of Moon Township; 13 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Casmir and Eva Bartus; and three siblings.
Friends were received at Thomas-Little Funeral Home, Oakdale. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Patrick Church on Friday. Burial was in Oakdale Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to his church.

Leslie Bertram
Leslie Ann Yargar Bertram, 67, of Bellevue, wife of the late Earl J. Bertram Sr., died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010.
Mrs. Bertram was a longtime member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Bellevue and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was an elementary school teacher at the Emsworth School.
She is survived by three sons, Earl J. Bertram Jr. and his wife Leah of Waterloo, IA, Jason Bertram and his wife Kelly of Plum and Justin Bertram and his wife Whitney of Franklin Park; her mother, Leslie L. Yargar of Bellevue; her brother, Nelson Wayne Yargar Jr. and his wife Barbara; two grandchildren, Zoe and Jack Bertram; a great-grandson, Zachary Hahn; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Nelson W. Yargar Sr.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. Funeral services were held in Emanuel Lutheran Church on Saturday, with Pastor Jennifer McCurry officiating. John Grimes
John A. "Jack" Grimes, 62, of Ohio Township, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010.
Mr. Grimes served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member and past president of Ohio Township Volunteer Fire Co., past captain of Ohio Township Volunteer Fire Co. fire police, past member of Ohio Township Zoning Board, member and past president of the congregation council of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Bellevue. He was retired from Harleysville Insurance Co. and had a CPCU designation. He also was a life member of NRA and an avid hunter, camper and golfer.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Young Grimes; his parents, Donald and Grace Curry; two siblings, Greg Curry and his wife Trudy and Linda Britten and her husband Steve; a niece, Dawn Curry; and a nephew, Justin Curry.
Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon. A funeral service was held in Emanuel Lutheran Church on Wednesday. Burial was in Allegheny County Memorial Park. Donations are suggested to his church at 10 N. Fremont Ave., Bellevue, PA 15202.

Gladys Buhan
Gladys Buhan, 37, of Bellevue, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010 in Forbes Hospice.
She is survived by her husband, David Buhan; her parents, Jose and Maria; five siblings, Mary, Judy, Yvette, Steven and Jose; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held in New York. Arrangements were made by D'Alessandro Funeral Home and Crematory, Lawrenceville.

George Waller
George E. Waller, 91, formerly of Bellevue and husband of the late Emma Louise Roach Waller, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010 in Little Sisters of the Poor, Brighton Heights.
He is survived by three children, George Waller, Mary Waller and Katie McGrail; two sisters, Jean Kirby and Barbara Richey; nine grandchildren, George Waller Jr., Jill Durler, Teresa Worst, Sara Waller, Casey, Gary, Gregory, Mike and Robert McGrail; four great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory W. Waller.

Beatrice Farmer
Beatrice A. Farmer, 89, of Beaver, PA, formerly of Avalon, died Monday, Jan. 18, 2010.
She is survived by her son, Eric Farmer; five grandchildren, Erika, Brianna and Vanessa Farmer and Denise and Eugene Shannon; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Becky and Bitsy Farmer.
A memorial service was held in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, North Hills, on Saturday. Arrangements were made by the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon.

Mary Thompson
Mary Louise Smith Thompson, 89, of Conneaut Lake, PA, formerly of Bellevue and wife of the late Frank W. Thompson, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010.
She is survived by three children, David M. Thompson and his wife Pat of Ingomar, Frank Thompson of Indianapolis and Anne Boyd and her husband Bruce of Meadville, PA; three siblings, Edward P. Smith, Jerome F. Smith and Theresa Spagnolo; and six grandchildren, Heidi, Frank and his wife Megan, Clayton, William, Rose and Claire. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Gene R., Donald E., William A. and Murray R. Smith and Veronica Smith Williams.

Henry Reinheimer Sr.
Henry John Reinheimer Sr., 72, of the North Side, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010.
Mr. Reinheimer served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked as a respiratory therapist for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Cecilia "Ceil" Reinheimer; and his daughter, Cecilia "Cissy" Reinheimer and her husband Steve. He was preceded in death by his son, John "Jay" Reinheimer Jr.
Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon, where a blessing service was held on Thursday. Burial was in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

Joan Storey
Joan M. McGregor Storey, 76, of Glenshaw, formerly of Lawrenceville and wife of the late James W. Storey, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010.
She is survived by nine children, Susan Palush of Maryland, Donna Schmitt and her husband Jerry of West View, James Storey Jr. of Avalon, Bill Storey and his wife Kim of Ellwood City, Joseph Storey of Avalon, Vine Storey of Georgia, Bonnie Stewart and her husband Rich of Glenshaw, Judy Storey and her husband Rich of East Pittsburgh and Stacy Moore and her husband Tim of Cranberry Township; her sister, Kathy Mucci of Georgia; 25 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Carl Dorsch
Carl J. Dorsch, 78, of Ross Township, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009.
Mr. Dorsch was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Bronner Dorsch; three children, Carl Dorsch and his wife Elizabeth, Lorraine Nist and her husband Thomas and Mary Anne Kilburg and her husband Eric; two sisters, Imelda Huerbin and Dorothy Ulrich; and 10 grandchildren, Chrissy, Joe, Maria, Logan, David, Angela, Monica, Nathan, Daniel and Theresa. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph S. Dorsch.

John Peyton
John Henry Peyton, 66, of Canfield, OH, formerly of McKeesport, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2010.
Mr. Peyton was retired from General Motors in the Lordstown, OH division where he had been a tool and die maker. He also had worked at Continental Can Co. for 13 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his son, Rev. Kenneth McKissick and his wife Rev. Eleanor of Pittsburgh; his sister, Katherine Peyton Andrews of Emsworth; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Monica McKissick; and his parents, John Henry and Mary Taylor Peyton Bryant.
Friends were received at Robert A. Waters Funeral Home, McKeesport, until the time of services on Friday with Rev. Kenneth McKissick officiating. Burial was in McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery.

Joseph Burkhart Jr.
Joseph Burkhart Jr., 77, of Brighton Heights, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010.
Mr. Burkhart was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Burkhart; three children, Tony Mutz and his wife Debbie, Joseph Burkhart and his wife Patricia and Therese Curtis and her husband Gary; and four grandchildren, Kevin Mutz, Michelle, Mike and Lisa Curtis. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Marie; and two siblings, Rose Marie Gongloff and Bill Burkhart.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A traditional Requiem Latin High Mass was held in Holy Wisdom Parish at St. Boniface Church on Friday.

Robert Hinds Sr.
Robert H. Hinds Sr. of Marshall Township, formerly of McCandless Township, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010.
Mr. Hinds was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II and served as a navigator. He earned the rank of second Lieutenant and had flown missions in Hawaii, Guam and Iwo Jima. He was a CPA and formed the accounting firm of Hinds, Lind and Miller where he was senior partner until his retirement in 1992.
He is survived by his wife, Erla Jean Reeves Hinds; two children, Arthur Blaine Hinds and his wife Sharla of Florida and Bryan Glenn Hinds and his wife Linda Yon of McCandless; two stepsons, Tim Reeves and his wife Anne of Hershey, PA and Scott Reeves of Bellevue; his sister, Betty Fawcett and her husband Bob of Irwin, PA; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather, Deidre, Danielle, Ashley, Robert, Kate, Megan, Danny and Molly; and two great-grandchildren, Austin and Haley. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Mae Hinds; his son, Robert H. Hinds Jr. and his wife Lois J.; and three brothers, Nelson, Charles and Grant Hinds.
