Edward Sullivan
Edward J. Sullivan, 82, of Avalon, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Olga "Ollie" Sullivan; his daughter, Barbara Ann Lint and her husband John of Scottdale, PA; his sister, Joan Gulizia and her husband Fred; three grandchildren, Michael "Buddy" Lint, A.J. And Christopher Sullivan; two great-granddaughters; and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Edward Barry Sullivan.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Saturday. Memorial contributions are suggested to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

Lois Vey
Lois Legler Vey, 80, of Bellevue, wife of the late John C. "Jack" Vey, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011.
She is survived by two children, Gregory Vey and his wife Kathy and Elaine Layland and her husband Todd; two siblings, Marianne Wisniewski and Thomas Legler; seven grandchildren, Karra and Kristofer Vey, Nichole and Ashley Layland and Erika, Jackquelyn and Victoria Vey; and a great-granddaughter, Emma Hackett. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Vey and his wife Kathy.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Friday. Memorial contributions are suggested to her church at 45 N. Sprague Ave., Bellevue, PA 15202.
