Several sports-related agenda items were approved on Feb. 15 by the Northgate School Board.
A non-competitive soccer club has been approved for Northgate students. The club will be coached by volunteers Mike Somerville and Tom Michalow.
The board also voted to renew a subscription with Impact Applications, Inc. for one year. The company conducts testing of athletes that can be used if they suffer head injuries to quickly identify areas of the brain that may have been affected.
Joanne Jamriska's resignation as middle school swimming coach was accepted, and the board approved Stacey Domer as a volunteer middle school girls' volleyball coach.
The board voted 8-1 to rent two nine-passenger vans to transport track athletes this spring. The vans will cost $500 per month. Board president Susan Nolan was opposed.
