The Northgate School Board voted Monday to appoint Keystone Collections Group as the earned income tax collector for the district beginning Jan. 1, 2011.

Keystone already has been hired to act as the regional EIT collector for the northern area of Allegheny County beginning in January of 2012, when state law will require regional collection and more comprehensive payroll deductions by employers.

Northgate not only will realize a cost savings by switching from Pennsylvania Municipal Services Company (PaMS), but will be able to avoid payment delays expected when the regional program goes into effect by having the district’s data already in place.
