The victory bell at Alumni Field got a work-out Friday night as the Northgate Flames pulled out a win over Quaker Valley, 12-8.

Pat Carr was the star of the Senior Night game, scoring both of the Flames' touchdowns and then intercepting a pass in the end zone to stop the Quakers' last minute attempt to win the game.

Avonworth also played at home Friday night, destroying Riverview 41-8. Jimmy Zubik got back on the board with three rushing touchdowns, while Mike Simmons and Dan Coulter added one more apiece. Ben Kramer grabbed an interception that he returned for a touchdown in the 'Lopes' final home game of the regular season.
