Energy efficiency and help with grant applications are expected to result from Emsworth Borough participating in the Allegheny County Energy Program.

Council member Paul Getz reported at Wednesday's council meeting that experts would review energy use at borough facilities and make recommendations for how both energy and money could be saved. They then would advise officials on what grants might be available. Getz said that he hoped Emsworth could obtain a grant to retrofit the heating system in the borough building.
