Emsworth residents should let the borough know how they would like to receive emergency notifications.
Emsworth is participating in the One-Call emergency notification system that will alert residents in the case of an emergency such as a road closing, water main break, fire, etc. According to council member Kevin Yurkovich, the system is now set up to call land lines in the borough for all phone numbers that are published or unpublished. Unlisted numbers will not be called.
Residents can opt to receive a voice mail message on their cell phones, instead, or the notification can be delivered via text message or e-mail.
To change how they receive notices, or to opt out of the system all together, residents can call the borough office at (412)761-1161 or e-mail emsworthbor email@example.com.
