Emsworth Borough has collected more than half of what was owed the municipality in delinquent sewage charges.

Council member Paul Getz reported at Wednesday’s meeting that some $50,000 was owed by the owners of 84 properties, all of which were posted and scheduled for water service termination.

Getz said the notices prompted payment from all but eight of the properties, for a total of $33,000.
