Two robberies -- including the armed robbery of a clerk at a Bellevue business -- as well as a number of burglaries were among incidents investigated recently by the Bellevue Police Department.
A white male armed with a handgun is reported to have robbed the Bellevue Beer distributor on Ohio River Boulevard on Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. The robber was wearing a blue hoodie and carrying a black bag. Allegheny County Police were asked to assist in the investigation.
Also on Aug. 28, a man came to the police station to report that he had been robbed by someone he knew.
Police also are investigating a dozen burglaries -- most of them residential -- reported over the past few weeks.
Cash was reported stolen during the burglary of a North Avenue residence reported July 25. On July 23, an X-Box was reported stolen from a North Sprague Avenue home. Items were reported stolen from another North Sprague residence on Aug. 6.
Apartments were broken into on Grant Avenue on Aug. 16, Irwin Avenue on Aug. 17 and South Howard on Aug. 19.
The burglary of a Roosevelt Avenue residence was reported Aug. 18, and a Washington Avenue residence on Aug. 22.
The CoGo’s store on Lincoln Avenue was reported burglarized on Aug. 20.
Moving into September, Cash was reported stolen during the burglary of a Hallet Place apartment on Sept. 3. On Sept. 4, a burglary was reported at a Lincoln Avenue home. Finally, a Dawson Avenue resident reported Sept. 5 that someone had tried to break into the apartment.
An Irwin Avenue resident reported July 29 that a Sony PS3 had been stolen from his apartment on July 21 or 22.
Some 15 wedding dresses were reported stolen from the common storage area of a consignment shop on Hawley Avenue on Aug. 5.
Two 20-foot ladders were reported stolen from the yard of a North Balph Avenue residence on Aug. 9.
A vehicle was reported stolen from Jefferson Avenue on Sept. 1. Another vehicle on Jefferson was broken into that same day.
A laptop computer was reported stolen from a vehicle on North Harrison Avenue on Sept. 1.
Daniel Pace, 23, of the North Hills, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Indiana County during a traffic stop on July 23.
Eric Hurley, 20, of North Balph Avenue, and Bryan Hurley, 23, of California Avenue, Brighton Heights, both were arrested for simple assault when officers responded to a fight at the North Balph Avenue residence on July 24.
Nicole Kraus, 26, of Teece Avenue, was charged with shoplifting from CVS on July 26.
Deborah Russo, 55, of Maryland Avenue, was charged with disorderly conduct during an incident at her apartment on July 28.
Gary Schneider, 65, of North Sprague Avenue, was arrested for driving under the influence during a traffic stop on Aug. 6.
Kelly Carrigan, 28, of Climax Street, Pittsburgh 15210, was arrested for shoplifting at Dollar general on Aug. 7.
A charge of public drunkenness was filed against Robert Boleky, 24, of Gass Road, Pittsburgh 15229, following an incident on Forest Avenue on Aug. 14.
John Marshall, 48, of Evergreen Road, Pittsburgh 15214, was charged with driving under the influence on Aug. 23.
The same charge was filed against Thomas mortimer, 50, of Union Avenue, during a traffic stop on Aug. 24.
Duane Jemison, 54, of Spring Avenue, was charged with simple assault on Aug. 25 during an incident at his home.
Bradley Layton, 24, of Mission Viejo, CA, was arrested for driving under the influence on Aug. 27. On Sept. 5, Rolando Colon, 50, of West Riverview Avenue, was charged with DUI, as was Clifford Lynch Jr., 31, of Rose Avenue, Pittsburgh 15229 on Aug. 30.
Joshua Mickail, 31, of East Forest Avenue, Ross, was arrested for indecent assault, simple assault and public drunkenness at McDonald’s restaurant on Aug. 30.
Richard Schmidt, 39, of Shiloh Avenue, was arrested for public drunkenness on Aug. 30 during an incident on Davis Avenue.
Vincent Able, 44, of North Balph Avenue, was charged with disorderly conduct during an incident on Route 65 on Sept. 3.
Martise Smith, 18, of Superior Avenue, North Side, was arrested Sept. 3 on a warrant for robbery, burglary and other charges stemming from an incident at a South Howard Avenue apartment building.
Angela Duricko, 19, of Brunner Court, Pittsburgh 15214, was charged with shoplifting from Dollar General on Sept. 4.
