Bellevue police officers found two bullet casings on the street when they responded to a report of gunshots in the 100 block of Grant Avenue, near Laurel Avenue, on May 8. The incident is still under investigation.

Police also are continuing to investigate a man who ran from officers and jumped into the river on May 8. The man ran over the hillside near McDonald's restaurant on Ohio River Boulevard after spotting officers called to an incident at the business. The NorthWest EMS river rescue team responded, and the man was taken into custody.

A gun was reported taken during the burglary of an Orchard Avenue home reported on May 5.

A South Harrison Avenue resident reported May 11 that a known person had stolen her wallet from her car.

A resident of Crawford Avenue reported May 6 that checks had been stolen and cashed.

Pittsburgh man was taken into custody on a drug charge while a Bellevue officer was conducting a separate investigation into an assault. Thomas Bernardi, 20, of Bainton Street, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance during a traffic stop on Kendall Avenue on May 6.

Bellevue police officers took two men into custody during a traffic stop in the parking lot of CVS Pharmacy on May 7. One male was released, and the other was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office.
