A Jeep Cherokee reported stolen from the Avalon Motel on Sept. 19 was found torched in Riverview Park by Pittsburgh Police.

Ashley Alonzo Merida, 21, of Taylor Avenue, was arrested for simple assault, possession of a controlled substance and harassment on Sept. 18 after he reportedly assaulted his girlfriend and police discovered a small marijuana blunt in his possession.

Eric Stemmerick, 27, of Virginia Avenue, was charged with possession of paraphernalia on Sept. 18 when police discovered a syringe in his coat pocket during a traffic stop.

Four people were cited for disorderly conduct after being found drinking beer in a dug-out at the Avalon ballfield on Sept. 17. Charged were Timothy Arigo, 29, of Delwater, PA; George Hillard III, 22, of North Avenue, Bellevue; Stephen Jones, 24, of Erdner Avenue; and Noelle Relac, 25, of Shade Avenue, Bellevue.

The rear window of a vehicle on Taylor Avenue was reported to have been shattered on Sept. 22.

Police were called to the Eat ‘n Park restaurant on Sept. 20 to investigate the theft of a $3 tip by a customer.

Two people were charged with harassment following a series of incidents at the restaurant on Sept. 21. Chelse Schrecengost, 20, and Dennis Wik, 41, both of Pittsburgh 15214, were reported to have called the restaurant a dozen times after they were asked to leave.
