A South Home Avenue resident reported Aug. 27 that someone had used a credit card without permission, making an internet purchase of $218.65 on May 5.

Nathaniel Vickinovac, 20, of Perrysville Ave., Ben Avon, was charged with driving under the influence on Route 65 on Sept. 2.

Gregory Omlor, 21, of Sewickley, was charged with theft of services and public drunkenness on Sept. 2. Police located him on Ohio River Boulevard after he apparently left without paying his check at Eat n’ Park.

An Avalon man reported to police on Aug. 26 that he had been assaulted by an unknown male as he left Johnny’s Hideaway on California Avenue on Aug. 26. A man matching the description of the assailant was found on Orchard Avenue. Police charged Vincent Leroy, 35, who had been staying at the Avalon Motel, with disorderly conduct.

Avalon Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Union Avenue near the Ross Township line on Aug. 27. One driver told police he had overcompensated in his steering while going around a bend, and his vehicle had crossed over the center line and struck another car.

Police also responded on Aug. 29 when a tractor-trailer truck hit a fence on private property at California and Cleveland avenues.

A vehicle had to be towed from Duff Alley on Aug. 29 after it reportedly was damaged by a sewer manhole cover in the roadway.
