On March 12, a resident reported fraud concerning someone trying to buy a vehicle through Craigslist and Ebay.

On March 13, an Avalon resident reported that money was stolen from his wallet by his caretaker.

Avalon Police responded to a hit-and-run accident on Ohio River Boulevard on March 14. Police say there were no injuries.

Robert A. Janchenko, 40, of Avalon, was arrested on March 15 for possession of a controlled substance, suspected to be heroin.

Trevon Darnell Adams, 22, of Duquesne, was arrested on March 15 for driving under the influence of marijuana.

On March 15, Avalon Police were dispatched to a residence on Belva Street for a burglary in progress. A warrant for the arrest of Jarell Steele was issued.

Javon Edwards Jenkins, 47, of Brighton Heights was arrested on March 18 after what police called a violent argument.

On March 18, a hit-and-run accident occurred in the Avalon Borough parking lot at approximately 9 a.m. and another hit-an-run accident occurred the same day on Union Avenue.

On March 19, Avalon officers were called to Virginia Avenue for a report of "shots fired". The rear window on an excavator had been shot out during operation. While taking information from Michael Snyder about the incident, they found an outstanding warrant for Snyder's arrest. He was arrested and taken to the Allegheny County Jail.

On March 20, Jarell Steele, 32, was found hiding on the third floor of a Belva Street residence and arrested on a warrant.
