Ben Avon Council unanimously appointed Jeff King to fill Tom Mrozenski Jr.'s position on the Tri-Borough Joint Planning Commission.

Mrozenski resigned because he is relocating. King's term will expire Dec. 31, 2013.

Ben Avon Council members voted unanimously at Tuesday's meeting to reappoint five members of the Avonworth Municipal Authority Advisory Council to their current positions.

Sandra Collins, Claire Wilwohl, Rachel Wisniewski, Bob Whalen and Richard White will continue as volunteer members of the advisory council for a one-year term, which will expire Jan. 30, 2012.
